no not yet. I haven't been able to with the holidays and all, and i get kinda homebound come winter time. Bit i have an AWESOME friend now who has been helping me do POSITIVE things with myself. And as long as im working towards a life away from escorting, he is totally willing to help me out. He even bought me a kick ass laptop, for going back to college!!! YAY! And once i find the apartment, we are gonna work out the logistics.

Ooh, college, scary stuff. :)

What's your field of study?

There was a brief time that I entertained the thought of further education, but my ADD and sense of misadventure led me elsewhere. And elsewhere. And a couple of other places after that. *Sigh*

i was studying fashion design, which i really enjoy. I am a very creative person, with EXCEPTIONAL artistic talents. Fashion seemed like the PERFECT choice, because i love to draw and sketch women. Groing up, i was a TOTAL X-Men junkie, and i kinda still am. I have 2 suitcases of cards and comics stuffed in my closet. Originally i wanted to be a comic book artist, but with computers doing most the work, it kinda eliminates a lot of the fun. Also the pay isn't so great. Graphic design was another choice, but its not as creative as i thought. Anyone can LEARN to work a comp. However, drawing from the mind... working a paper with a pencil and watching ur work come to life... That is a talent, which takes skill and practice.

I completed a yr and 3 months at the Art Institute of NYC, but i started losing focus due to personal stuff and i kinda figured that it's not worth it to just half-ass it. If i couldn't give 100%, then i needed to fix my issues, and then devote myself to my studies.

Ha, I knew I liked you.

I used to hang out with Chris Claremont's next door neighbors. Elevator conversations were always a treat. I still bump into him on occasion, at far away trade shows. Through the '80s I was a book dealer with a smattering of comic titles on the table. X-Men came and went, with passing fads and artist combos. One of my roommates went on to do some writing for Marvel, just before Ron Perlman and Karl Icahn ruined it for everybody (I took a serious bath on that, but still have a couple of the annual reports, which were done in comic book format). About all the comic related stuff I do today is seeing the Marvel movies and playing "Find Stan Lee" in them. :)

Fashion design can be pretty lucrative, but it is lost on someone like me. I get seriously confused if I go beyond jeans and a commercial t-shirt or sweatshirt. I have one nice suit, so as not to embarrass my rare 'dates' by showing up in some Joe Grunt work clothes, but I do throw a little flair on with a nice tie (Favorites being Bugs Bunny or one of my subway map ties :) ). :D

I know about trying to give a 100% to the learning experience. That's pretty much why I never went on to engineering (MIT and Wentworth were considered). I'm lucky if I can give a full 10% of my attention to one thing for any given amount of time. Oddly, I ended up doing management consulting work on the side in recent years as I seem to have a savant-like talent for it. Though it's not enough to consider for full-time, it makes the afternoons interesting and logs in some long-term benefits for later in life.

Oy. It's 7 AM on C-Day and the Mexican's rooster has been shouting for more than an hour already. :x

Here's hoping that you're having a quieter holiday than I am. :claps
