Really? I think she is very pretty, so much so that those tats don't look right to me. Maybe it's just because I don't like tattoos on girls in general, but I feel like the tats clash with her pretty girl next-door look.

I think she would have been better off with a couple of well placed tats that were chosen carefully. Just my opinion...

She IS cute, and a total sweetie too! She's on my list of friends and Facebook and has been very friendly and easy to chat with. She's going to make a major splash on the scene shortly as she has just started doing professional shoots. I wish her nothing but success and happiness.

Yep,tattoos remove that wholesomeness, purity, and clean girl-next-door look and appeal in my opinion. It's a fad,and unfortunately this fad harms more than helps a woman's appearance, not to mention what it might reveal about their head. Most guys I've talked tats with don't like them on women,so I really don't get the rush to get inked, and so extensively at that? By inking themselves like that, they're marginalizing themselves with a huge pool of potential mates iow. Are they not old and experienced enough at this point to realize they most likely won't be the same person,5,10,15,or 30 years from now? Is their imagination, creativity, and intelligence so limited or capped that they can't find other ways to express their individuality and inner beauty?

...If your grandparents didn't have 'em,it's most likely a fad,and the only thing growing at a faster clip than tattoo parlors are tattoo removal centers. That is,surgeons that specialize in removing them. There is hope for a cleaner look of women out there after all. :)

"Gramps"???

Hey,if tattoo sleeves float your boat, fine. It's your arm, your appearance, your life, but if some posters are going to rave about how tattoos look "hot" on women, why can't I counter and post that I don't think they do,and can actually do more harm than embellish a woman's attractiveness and appearance? Scrolling back here there are at least three other posters in this thread who feel as I do (Kelticforce1349,DL_NL,and dgs925) about them. As I mentioned upstream,a lot of guys both in and outside of this forum find them a turn-off. Just speaking the truth.

Totally ! everyone's entitled to their opinion. but when u intend to imply that by getting inked my "imagination, creativity, and intelligence" is somehow "capped" honestly, it crosses the line and begins to become a bit offensive...not to mention your intoning that something may be wrong with my psyche..i dont need to worry about "marginalizing myself with a huge pool of potential mates" btw...and too be honest i was being facetious when I called u "gramps"...but if the shoe fits?..:p

I love your tattoos! I think it's incredibly sexy when a girl knows what she wants and goes out and does it. Expressing yourself through ink is a beautiful thing, and the individuality it gives is a big turn-on.

Just speaking the truth.I probably qualify as "Gramps" (might use that as a handle on the next forum I join, thanks) as far as I'm concerned I'm fine with a girl having tattoos along with any other body modifications they choose. And you are free to post whatever you want. I take issue with your idea that what your saying is the truth rather than your and other's opinions. It appeared to me that you were attacking Ryder's personal choice.:geek:

Everyone has an opinion and the freedom to express it. I for one like most of the tattoos I see on females.

As far as being a fad, I must disagree as tattoos have long passed the fad stage. Hell, Cleopatra had tattoos and both Rock & Roll and Jazz were considered to be a Fad at one time.

And while I usually enjoy your comments Real, in my opinion, your comments came off as somewhat of a back handed slap in the face to Ryder's decision on how she chose to express herself even though I am sure that was not your intent, as it's just not your style.

I believe that if the girls here are old enough, informed enough and wise enough to make the decision to transition in the first place, they are more than able to make decisions about most anything, regardless of the long or short term perceived consequences of those decisions

LAGent4ts,

Re: Post #31

I guess we're just on opposite ends on this issue,my friend, and I look forward to the night we can sit together and take in another QueenUniverse Pageant.

First,I think you misconstrued my statements. This was never so much about personally attacking Ryder, backhanded or otherwise,as it was about my opinion on women with tattoos in general. I'm sorry if it came off that way and if I offended Ryder with my opinions. Hey,if there are going to be people who are going to post that they find them hot,I'm going to counter with my views of them also. There are others here who share my views, and it is a forum after all, isn't it?

Secondly,I believe transitioning and obtaining a tattoo are mutually exclusive. While the decision to transition likely has its origins as early as each respective girl can recall (probably since they were three or four years of age),the decision to get inked has not been set in stone and is likely relatively recent with the onset of young adulthood with peer and social pressure possibly playing a role with some.

Thirdly,I have to disagree with your statement about it not being a fad also -- It's a fad. In this country, culture, and society (I might add that in the west in general) for the most part,it's a fad. The "Iceman",Cleopatra, and other historical notables might have indeed wore "white trash chic" as I've seen tats referred to in some circles, but in this country and culture, tattoos have been mainly the domain of serviceman, felons, and gang members, etc, not women -- NOT women. One need not look any further than any NBA or NCAA basketball footage of just two decades ago to see just how much this trend has exploded in the last 20/25 years among males, let alone females adopting them. That,my friend,is "overnight",and thus fits my definition of a fad or trend.

Though one can never judge a book by its cover, and I know plenty of people I would consider good folk and friend who sport tattoos,I still think they can often say something about a woman (the emphasis on women here) that maybe that woman didn't thoroughly consider, and therefore mean to project. To me -- TO ME -- a woman with numerous or large tattoos all over her limbs beyond her torso particularly, does suggest (to me) a cap on imagination and creativity; a disrespect for beautiful healthy looking skin,an impulsiveness and eagerness to join the crowd (a weakness),along with a glaring presumption that defies maturation, foresight, and growth -- Does a 20 or 25 year old really possess the wisdom to know what she'll be or think like in her 30s,40s,and 50s? Maybe some do,but for the most part I would surmise that that isn't the case. For me,all of the aforementioned just isn't attractive, perceived and otherwise. I'm probably losing out on some hot prospective mate thinking this way,but it's the way I feel, and you know what they say about first impressions. I've actually come around to tolerate so called "tramp stamp" type tattoos like the ones I culled here from another thread. Tats like this demonstrate or suggest careful deliberation and thought. It's suggesting an "edge",but with restraint and her mystique still intact...now that's a turn-on(for me),but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Beauty really is subjective, and certainly in the eye of the beholder, and I just happen to think that tattoos aren't beautiful or a plus on women. Just my two cents. Sorry if I offend anyone.
