Alot of people who come to SE Asia never make it past Thailand in search of TS girls. And really there are so many here in LOS why should they, afterall isnt Singapore the place where its illegal to chew gum or spit on the sidewalk?!
Didnt they just execute a 25 y.o. Aussie for possesion of heroin(even though Australia begged them not to)?!
Yes...yes...and...yes.

However hidden away in this utopic Disneyland-like island/state is a place called Orchard Towers....a shopping mall(Singapore has more malls than anyplace in the world!) during the day,and then turns into an adult playground at night.Aptly nicknamed "Four floors of whores" there are 3 clubs inside O.T. that are exclusively TS/ladyboys,and if that isnt enough most of the free lancers roaming the mall are TS as well.

Last time I was there I met a beautiful Cambodian girl, several familiar faces from Thailand, but the girls that really stood out are the Malay's.
The Malays are an exotic mix of Asian/Indian/Middle Eastern influences that produce a stunning girl.

Singapore is stoopid expensive, but its such a 180 from the chaotic filthy Bangkok that the prices of food, hotels and models are worth it for a break from Thai insanity.

If you are ever in Singapore,or in SE Asia and want to see some really beautiful girls I highly recommend Singapore.

Interesting, DJ Asia. Maybe we'll have to develop another site in the future. ;) But we're staying on target for Thai girls for now.

heh i'm from singapore. I'm biased but I think we look better than thai girls and the best looking thai girls work in singapore anyway.

U prolly been to orchard towers which is quite the touristy place but I think Changi village has its fair share as well and really more TS specific. I think people don't know and would be surprised that singapore actually has the highest incidence of TS in the world or at least comparable to thailand.

On R&R from Vietnam I went to Singapore and went right to the famous "Bugis Street" I met dozens of girls and spent the rest of the week with one in her home. She also took me to my 1st opium den. It used to be wilder than Thailand.

@suchgreatheights:

Orchard Towers have mostly Thai girls in there, at least at the times I visit that place. Where exactly in Changi Village do you go?

BTW, this is my first post, "hi all!" :)

I remember Bugis St. Our ship docked in Singapore for a week. We had just left Thailand, and I think we would have enjoyed it more, if we weren't all still so burnt out from Thailand.

You couldnt fucking pay me to go there.....Is there a travel advisory on Singapore? If not, there should be.

Singapore...hmmm.
1/ Most of the girls working there are Thais. You'd be better off going to Malaysia for Malaysians. They're also more expensive in Singapore.

2/ Singapore might be "cleaner" than Bangkok but calling Bangkok "filthy" is off the mark and for someone who lives in Thailand, DJ I would have expected more from you?

3/ Singapore is just dull, dull, dull. I like the chaos of most Asian countries. Just as I prefer the chaos of NYC over the more designed, newer cities.

4/ This 25 yr old executed knew the risk of smuggling in SE Asian countries - who doesn't know the strict laws there? He took the risk and paid for it - I disagree with the punishment but a travel advisory? Let's give one to European tourists travelling to the the US on the fact that everyone carries guns and if you rob a gas station with a knife - you might get shot.

That being said, there is far more of Thailand and other Asian countries to investigate outside the sex industry which are fantastic - Cambodia and Vietnam in particular (and of course China).
Chefmike, Bugis St . was meant to be wild but been closed for years - Mr Happy, Leonard Cohen has a cool song on it....or is it Boogie St?

Yes, that is so true, you can go to Kuala Lumpur for Malaysian TGirls. If anyone is interested, just ask and I'll post the info since it might be "out of topic" posting it in this thread.

I think it's too sanitized, takes the fun out of living... :)

As per what I said in no. 3.

It boils down to knowing and respecting the laws of the country you are visiting. If you disagree with the laws of a country, don't go there!

Bugis Street was pretty much dead when I was born in the 80s... Orchard towers is really very focused on tourists hence the inflation. Changi village (or Changi point) is a more local cruising place, its gotten quieter though, not sure since I haven't been back to singapore for awhile. Zouk is a club you'd want to check out as well.

I'm surprised they actually have wiki entries on this stuff in singapore.

And while there's no doubt that the drug laws are draconian, I still think it's a shame that Rush (the hypocrite junkie) Limbaugh wasn't busted there, as opposed to here...

If you dont find BKK absolutely filthy than I would like to see what is in your estimation.
The streets are littered with trash, cigarette butts and food scraps from vendors. On Sukumvit road at night I had the pleasure of watching an enourmous rat crawling over street vendors feet...andf rom their casual attitude about it it wasnt a rare occurance.
The traffic congestion is the worst I have seen in my life(and I was raised in LA)The traffic causes such an unbreathable toxic cloud that sits over BKK that many folks walk around wearing disposable dust masks.
The stray dogs that lay all over BKK,covered in ticks and mange is heartbreaking...as is the 4 y.o. girls begging for money with their starving puppys asleep in their lap.

I tried living in BKK for 4 months before I reached my breaking point. It was too much for a L.A. native.

I could go on....but its worth noting that fortunately the rest of Thailand for the most part is a stunning, beautiful country....but sorry Seanchai..BKK is a toilet.

Maybe you're less travelled and experienced than I thought.
Most Western cities you'll find rats crawling along the gutter - I've seen them in NY, London, Paris and as for 4 yr old refugees/illegal immigrants begging I see them in all those cities also.
The smog in London is far worse than any I've experienced in Bangkok (although this is pretty bad) which is gotten better since all 2-strokes are now banned from the city.
The filth you describe is what I'd expect in any developing world city although Bangkok is certainly better than many places I've been in S.America and other parts of Asia and vastly better than some places like India and parts of Mexico. There are street cleaners out daily on most areas and all in all I find the place pretty decent.
Maybe Singapore or the scrubbed for tourist parts of Thailand are better for you if you cannot handle a little dirt and grime of the real world? I've lived on and off in Bangkok for 8 yrs and never had a problem other than the noise of the city.

Nah..im pretty well travelled, with the exception of Africa and the Middle East I have seen alot of the world.
I lived in Mexico and most of the carribean for 5 years, and I have seen the good and bad in many places.
Perhaps what sets BKK apart from the rest is the fact that the rest of Thailand is for the most part an absolute jewel, and the stark contrast makes it seem dirtier than any place I've seen.
The noise pollution you mention only worsens the situation there. Not to mention the absolute overcrowding on the sidewalks...with vendors taking up most of the sidewalk space, its the only place Ive been that gets pedestrian gridlock.

Yeah Singapore is scrubbed, clean, tidy, beautiful, and frankly I dont see whats wrong with that. The government in Singapore have made some laws that seem extreme to westerners, but when you walk this place and see no crime,no trash,no graffiti, little or no traffic,no ghettos or "rough areas"lot of beautiful natural parks, museums and beaches, then you see see the Muslims, next to the Buddhists, next to the Hindus, next to the Westerners and everybody gets along, and there are CHRISTMAS decorations everywhere(not happy holiday bullshit)...it seems to me that they are doing something right.
