Just to give us all another headfuck, Julianne Moore (Julianne Moore!), one of Hollywood's finest, classiest and most beautiful actresses is playing the braying ninny from Alaska. Please don't make this worse.

They are both great actresses, but Julianne for me every time. And unlike Sarah Palin, you could have a conversation with her without wanting to take out your own eyes with a spoon after three minutes.
OK, and she bears a very pleasing resemblance to my other half as well....

Oscars are certainly not about acting ability really. They're all about commercialism and business and the bigger the box office the greater the chance of the film getting accoladed (the business also pours money into promoting certain movies to those who vote.)
