Just got my 3 disk Apocalypse Now Blu-Ray DVD set and love it. Anyway, let's do a hypothetical. If you could become Colonel Kurtz in real life, would you want to rule over a jungle full of Cambodian TS girls having them worship you like a God? If I could get some DirecTV out there, I'd say yes.

Gonna watch the long version again. It's the one where they have dinner with the Frogs. I like the Theatrical Version the best. The Hearts Of Darkness documentary is pure greatness too. The DVD set is worth every penny.

The greatest movie ever made, on every possible level.

Dino in the Brando role would just be typecasting though.....

I babble gibberish to my neighbors like Brando all the time. Sometimes I'm even gesturing by waving a turkey drumstick around and my bathrobe is disturbingly opened enough that I'm partially exposed with a slight hint of pubic hair.

Three best quotes: "It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror... Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies!"
And
"I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream; that's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor... and surviving."
And, of course
"Charlie don't surf!"
