I've never been to New York. I'm glad it's a safer city for the residents but I would've loved to see New York the way it looked in the 1970s. The closest I can get is watching Taxi Driver. LA isn't the same place it was 30 years ago either.

ha ha ha,,, nice one.. The area was all warehouses that butchered and stored meat, cows and and others. They even had rails over hang the sidewalks and the cow carcasses would be hung to these rails and sent there way from the trucks into the warehouse. The side walks in the area were black from all the spilled blood,, I mean blood from the animals, nit the street walkers, well, some might have been from the walkers.

The area was probably the most rodent infested area of the city back then,, one could catch all sorts of diseases on the streets back then. But that didn't stop me from buying my bagels at the all night bagel shop.
