This is true. Pretty good scene in Portland, very laid back. A couple of bars/dance clubs I know about that are the cooler spots are Boxxes/Red Cap Garage and CC Slaughters, haven't been there in a while, so I'm not sure what they are like now. Interesting, when I went there they both had hardcore porn playing on huge monitors all around the club! Kind of a mix of gay and TS in both. Boxxes/Red Cap is more energetic than Silverados, it's kind of THE spot. I have seen a couple of higher profile TSs in the Portland scene, but I think they were just visiting, not natives. Valeria from Shemale Strokers was one.

Not many that I'm currently aware of. Morgan was/is hot, but she retired a while ago. TS Princess/Lorelai moved back to Hawaii. When I went to Boxxes it was more of a gay thing, but that was back when the Panorama was still nextdoor, haven't been down there recently.

How would you rate it compared to Seattle? Seattle seemed like it had a bigger scene to me, but this was a while back.

Im guessing it probably comparable, its usually a crap shoot as far as what bar may be hopping on any given night. I really am only familiar with one bar in Seattle right now that I will go to and usually find some attendance by lovely Trannsexual girls, and that is Neighbours. The Portland scene is definitely lacking these days. I've seen Tula/Karla a few times – nice girl, good top. The Amy, Promise, Grace (etc.) situation seems like one big scam. But I have no first-hand knowledge.
