It's come to my attention that Seanchai has *ahem* borrowed yet another of my ideas. His company is now finally offering models better deals on website management. I seriously doubt this would have happened without my prodding, although true to his corporate character, I'm sure he will claim the concept as his own. I like to think the readers here at HA know better, but in case I'm wrong, I'd just like to point it out.
No matter though, stolen ideas or not, what's next for the industry is what's next for the industry and the new business climate for independent models has never been rosier. I'm proud to have had a hand in making that happen and despite Grooby's obvious experience and reach advantages over my new business SarahbellaMedia (http://sarahbellamedia.com), I believe I have plenty to offer perspective new models that cannot be matched by a company as large and quantity-oriented as Grooby. I intend to recruit transwomen who care about more than just a quick buck as mine is the only truly 'ground-floor' opportunity in a newly growing field of independent model productions.
What I intend to offer:
1. First of all, unlike my competitor will likely do when this aspect of its business grows too large, I don't intend to set up websites for models and then leave them to their own devices. I want to see everyone who works with me become successful and I will be concentrating more on setting up a small, tight-knit network of girls who want to run their own individual businesses, but work together in the common goal of making better porn, rather than trying to sign up as many models as possible. I really care about quality over quantity.
2. As the webmaster, I'll be there to help models to obtain affordable or even bartered video, photography, and post-production, as well as other services. I also intend to teach my models whatever they want to learn about the adult business from technical web development to brand-building, to the more artistic side of the business such as photography and videography, so that they will have a long-term career path that doesn't end at modeling. I'm not looking for fly-by-nighters.
3. I also will be offering content arrangements in lieu of certain fees owed. That means that you could potentially get your site managed for free. But beyond that, I can match the current 20% + any applicable setup fees that my competitor is offering for management, but with a much more personal touch.
4. Speaking of personal touches, my competitor is currently offering only cookie-cutter websites to its prospective models. While uniformity is important in overall branding and cross-promotion, it's not the best way to go in terms of design or functionality, and unlike my competitor, I don't charge extra to add modules that allow your site to do more than host photos and video.
I offer hand-built sites on numerous platforms including Wordpress, Drupal, Elgg, and others. In fact, I'm offering a free basic Wordpress blog linked to the other Total-TG blogs to any girl who wants one (advanced design will be outsourced for a fee or upon adding a paysite to the Total-TG Network, and that is why some of the websites in the network currently appear so plain). Self-hosted Wordpress sites have a nearly unlimited number of features, unlike Wordpress.com blogs.
5. Perhaps most importantly, working with Sarahbella means that you'll be dealing with a TS owned and operated co-operative venture. You and your fellow models will be furthering the ideals of what TS porn should be and using each other as resources in order to do so. I'm really looking to build a team that strives to make the highest quality content. I intend to select models who really want to work hard and who enjoy what they do, and unless somebody wants to, they will never be forced to use photos or terminology in marketing materials that makes them feel uncomfortable (i.e. 'tranny,' 'shemale,' etc).
As everyone here knows, I believe in a respectful, nurturing, sex positive atmosphere. I don't feel that a transwoman needs to exploit shock or any social taboos to sell content and I don't intend to do so.
6. You will be working with people whose success depends on yours. In true co-op fashion, that means that they will have your best interests at heart when producing your site. You are not alone with Sarahbella Media. You're an integral, valuable, and important member of the Total-TG family.
I may have left out a thing or two, but if you have questions, you can just email me at bellabellucci@ymail.com (mailto:bellabellucci@ymail.com) for more information!
It's about time that independent models had more options, but now they have to make the right choice.
