So I am sitting here in my office at 6:00 PM local time and enjoying a Corona.

Thought I would throw out a random thread regarding beer.

Although I am enjoying this Corona right now, I don't normally drink beer, but when I do, I drink Robert the Bruce. Half step down from a Guinness.

No mexican piss water for me Ed.....no disrespect intended, we all like what we like, but when you have to put a lime in a bottle of beer...time to find another beer.

I buy American, motorcycles, cars and beer...Boston .........Sam Adams the best brewed beer in America. Cheers.

I hate when people feel they have to bring their soap box in these threads. There's always the "I don't drink" guy. "Good for you, buddy! You better than me now because you can't, I mean don't, drink."

I drink 'cuz I love booze and it makes ugly women pretty. Next rounds on me.

I lived there in the 70's when they first started mass marketing it. The got sued because it became instantly popular and they couldn't keep it stocked. The also produced a really cheap beer called Blitz, so they started putting it in the Henry's bottle.

Blitz was nasty.

Now I drink Sierra Nevada, Fat Tire and Anchor Steam Beer. Sam Adams is pretty good too.

Stone Brewery Smoked Porter- Stone is in San Diego and a couple of restaurants around LA even have it ion tap- great with a heavy dinner, smoky, chocolatey- just like Mom!

For drinking at a bar I take anything in a green bottle (I'm not picky, and it narrows down the choices- usually the bartender say "Heineken" and I go with that).

I'll have a good, cold Guiness or a McEwan malt beer in the summer, sometimes. But the best beers I've had were the Belgian beers. Duvelle, Maredsou, Blanche de Bruges. Really delightful beers. In the Duvelle, they leave the yeast. It gets at the bottom of the bottles and gives a real interresting taste to the brew, layers of taste.
But guys, the real thing is Single Malt Scotch Whisky. When you're used to such a drink, everything else will have an after-taste of metal or rotting mushrooms...
