I've been paying for porn since I graduated high school. I opened a bank account and joined Brazzers. Over the years I have spoken to pornstars on forums. One director set me up with a phone conversation with a pornstar. I've learned a bit about the industry.

However, there is something that sticks about about transsexual pornstars. They don't have agencies. I may be wrong about this. I have never found and seen an agency for transsexual models to do porn. On many transsexual forums I always see directors and producers saying they will contact the girls directly, but never mention any model agency.

In straight porn there are a lot of model agencies for pornstars. Companies are able to book girls more easily than trying to contact them directly. Even homosexual pornstars have agencies.

I remember LA Direct signing Kimber James. I don't know how long that lasted. She is not listed on their site anymore. I don't think that deal lasted 6 months, heck maybe less.

Do you think transsexual pornstars need agencies? Would this help or hurt the business?

The agencies take a big cut of the girls earnings, with as little as transsexuals get paid now...it would hurt them..

Tranny porn makes 35 percent of the revenue I believe in porn and yet you hear girls gett paid between 500 to 800...quite ridiculous...in my opinion....

There is not enough work for an agency to take on a TS client. Only a few big companies shoot regularly and we dont need anyone to book that gig....Agencies only take 10% so thats not the reason its a matter of supply and demand.

Really no use for it!

I know some use agencies, but it doesn't seem like a lot. When Danielle Foxx was looking to shoot Britney Markham a while back and needed her contact info, I sent her a link for an agency site she was on and Danielle shot her for Strokers.

I'm guessing the TS porn scene isn't that big where agencies are required. The girls can normally find work with out them.

Personally, I think an agency-type thing would be a helpful thing as it would allow for (hot topic of the day) collective bargaining with the companies.

That being said, I think the main obstacle for the creation of such a business model would be that the 'community' is just too fractured, with each person largely looking out for their own interests for it to be successful.

and agency is just someone who takes a huge cut before you get paid... With the internet i star can fill the same role as a agency

The market is too small. With less than 10 producers probably shooting regularly in the USA, we can get ahold of practically any model personally and offer them the project. An agency is unlikely to be able to get a model and more (porn) work than if she simply self-promoted like many of the girls do.

If anything, models under agencies may be hindered by presenting more paperwork, costs and stipulations, than models who weren't.
