Blade Runner is great. Harrison Ford's only great flick.

And John Carpenter's Escape from New York:

Agreed, Ben's opinions on movies officially don't count for squat now. Harrison Ford was great in the Indiana Jones trilogy also.

Ooo, this is the right thread for me.

Forbidden Planet
Star Trek I-VI
RoboCop
Starship Troopers
Alien quadrology
Back to the Future trilogy
Gojira (1954)
Ultraman - The Next
Superman - The Movie
Avatar
Space Battleship Yamato
The Matrix
Titan A.E.
Akira

Just off the top of my head. There will, of course, come several further scifi films to my mind, and I'll hate myself for not remembering them right now.

Not a movie in and of itself, but I adored the "Firefly" TV series, which of course spawned the "Serenity" feature film. "Serenity" was good, but not great. Kind of a difficult task to take 4.5 years of planned story arc & condense it into ~100 minutes. But it was a nice finale for the series, since Fox never gave them a fair shot at success.

i liked serenity was kinda like the wildwest in space :)

If i was to make a scifi show, i would love to get the rights from startrek to a spinoff series purely from the klingon perspectice ....

Not until 20th Century Fox parts with the rights... and Joss Whedon gives up on feature films, and the entire cast drops whatever projects they are working on, and a new distributor lines up a network, and... LOL, yeah, right.

I'd LOVE to see it return, but it'll never happen. Nathan Fillion recently made an offhand remark that if he won $300 Million in the CA Lottery, he'd buy the rights from 20C-Fox and produce it for net distribution... and in under a week, the fanboi base had mounted a campaign to raise $300 Million for help him buy "Firefly." He later had to Tweet to tell them to cut it out.

You're right. They should have made the original correctly.
