View Full Version : Facebook's draconian terms of service (and my new fan page)

OK, so on Facebook I had been close to 5000 friends for quite a long time, on more than one occasion having to clean out my friends list. I never spammed, deleted spam from my wall, and removed spammers as friends. I've created groups and apps for my own social network Total-TG.com (which of course is no threat to the almighty Facebook) and spent countless hours helping to build their site.

Two days ago I woke up to a message on my screen that I had been logged out. Upon trying to log back in I discovered that my account had been 'disabled.' I'm trying to get it back, but if anyone's ever dealt with the 'Book,' then you know how obtuse they are. They ask you to import all of your contacts and provide you a gazillion opportunities to find your friends, but then ban you when you add them too fast. WTF?! Kind of defeats the entire purpose, no?!

And I admit that I did accidentally link to Cam4 the other day, but I didn't receive a warning and the first thing I did was apologize in my email to them, having realized what I'd done, but all I got back was a cryptic response about how I'm banned but they can't even tell me why (the real life equivalent of course being unconstitutional for damn good reason). Yes, I fucked up a little, but the punishment does not fit the crime.

Well, I started a new account, but obviously I'm going to have to limit it to friends only (and they're even making THAT difficult), so instead I've created a fan page:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bella-Bellucci/193775527313935

Please 'like' me for updates on my adult work, websites, the upcoming radio show, etc. I promise to update it regularly if there is enough interest.

And remember, if you want to be connected to me directly, there's always Twitter, Total-TG.com, YouTube, and Formspring (listed in my signature). Thanks everyone!

They didn't have to buy it. There are plenty of ways to get a person banned that don't require that kind of investment. :geek:

Like I pretty much just said, it doesn't take a conspiracy. Regardless, I have two suspects in this 'case.' And really, it was all enabled by the fact that Facebook sucks donkey balls. :geek:

Gee, I'm soooo sorry I don't want to entertain you! Next time I'll try to have a conspiracy theory for you if it makes you feel better, but there isn't one here. I had 5000 friends. Someone was jealous and/or threatened. End of story.

Alot of people lose their accounts with Facebook and always when they ask what the cause of the suspension/ban is, they say that they cant tell you why.

Kinda defeats the purpose registering with them, if they can ban you at all times without being able to defend yourself as they give no reason or hint leading to it.

... which is why I started Total-TG.com (http://total-tg.com)! I'm not trying to take over the world so I'm not going to act like Supreme Social Networking Commander Mark Zuckerberg. ;)

Hi, I'm sorry about this and FB can be frustrating. But why is it "unconstitutional"? There is nothing in the constitution about a FB or TS or Cams. I thought you were a constitutionalist?

I would just like to hear your thoughts.

I never said there was anything unconstitutional about being banned from Facebook. I just made a comparison to real life. You're funny. I'm sure you saw that just fine without needing me to point it out for you.

Even in "real life", however one makes that distinction (is participation in an internet organization not real life?), is it explicitly unconstitutional for a private organization to choose who it admits and retains as a member? Where in the constitution does it state anything like this? Surely, the constitution has been interpreted as saying lots of things, but another group of justices at another time might not make the same interpretation.

Take it to the international court of human rights. Seriously. I suspect they banned you for reasons of your gender and/or sexual orientation. I think that is against the universal declaration of human rights of which the US is a signatory.

If you look at it from the other side, they're protecting the person who flagged the disabled profile. What if there was a profile form a pedophile looking for kids and you realized it and flagged it? You'd be glad Facebook is protecting you and not telling the guy you told on him.

Now in Bella's case, like she said, I'm sure a bunch of people just agreed to flagged her for whatever reason. I'm not saying there's a conspiracy, but it takes more than one person to make FB block a profile or picture. Goes to show you, you can't add everyone to your personal profile.

Except the real issue is that they won't tell you what got your profile removed, not that they won't tell you who. You have to admit, that's pretty messed up.

Precisely. :geek:

Interestingly, I got this tweet from Amy Daly last nite: '@Bella_Bellucci i had my account deleted like 6 months ago, you crazy crack whore. I bet you did it!' Yeah, because I don't have a reputation for handling my conflicts head on. Apparently, some people are trying to convince others that I'm the one who needs to be sneaky. Maybe that's because it's they who are the sneaky ones? It seems that there's nothing like blaming the victim, is there?

Hello Bella,

I had my account deleted five times, the last with no text of any kind and just a single pic showing little more than a little bit of cleavage.

All it takes to be deleted is for enough people to report your profile as inappropriate and an automated process will then shut it down without being checked to confirm the validity of the reports.

Once you have had your account deleted once, it will happen over and over again as the anti-ts/anti-porn brigade will continuously misuse the reporting option to keep you off FB.

Kisses,

Joanna

facebook dont like transsexuals plain and simple .. if there is any sniff/hint that you are related to anything adultrelated be it your own stuff, your own friends lists etc you will get suspended eventually.

i had 13 accounts in 12months i wouldnt piss on them cunts if they was on fire ...and as joanna said the anti LGBT people just flag anything they dont like/hate and once enough is flagged your removed end of story :(

Only way i can forsee you could keep a profile on facebook as a TS for years is simply to do the following:

- dont use your name
- dont post any pictures of yourself
- dont add a single transsexual to your friends
- dont mention anything about LGBT, being Transexual etc..

so being as you cant do any of the above it seems pointless .. myspace destroys facebook in this sense at least they only remove pictures or send you emails to wind your neck in if your spamming links.. shame myspace became shit though :(

Facebook is a scummy place. Mark Zuckerburg is a duplicitous and greedy dipshit who was caught saying the users are retards for giving him the info he turns around and sells. On facebook, you are not the customer or user, but the product. not worth it

I don't think Facebook hates any group of people, I don't think they even care. As Joanna said, it's the people on Facebook, the users, who are flagging your (and other tgirls') profile to make it disappear. And then FB automatically deletes it without even asking. At the end of the day, it's not FB's fault, it's the people, this would be like virtual discrimination.

This isn't the first time I've heard of this happening on Facebook or elsewhere. People are just too obsessed with everyone's sex lives. Bella I understand why you created a new account, but personally I prefer Total-TG and here to keep track of what you're up to. My wife's on FB, and that's all our little family needs of the ridiculous place as far as I'm concerned. I saw in Newsweek that there's a new threat to FB called Quora that I have no information about. Others may be interested, but I'm not. I maintain blogs on Multiply and Live Journal, but most of my social networking is confined to a few friends in my various areas of interest.

Don't let the knotheads get you down Bella, from what I've seen you're a wonderful person with a lot of intelligence and wit.:grouphug:kiss: There's a hug and kiss for you.

Okay Bella they disabled my account enabled my account and just now disabled my account again lol I have over 4,000 friends in a few months...it's hilarious..I didn't change a thing about my profile when they enabled it either..so not sure why it was disabled again. I wrote to them and said it's BS that Playboy, Jenna Jameson, and other bikini Lingerie models have Facebooks wearing just as much clothing that i am wearing in my bikini/lingerie pics but yet they aren't banned...I said is it because I'm a transsexual and went into the discrimination talk...they will enable it again I am sure it will take a few days.

Just suggesting but maybe you should share your experiences with GLAAD or an advocacy/watchdog group that promotes gender and sexual equality. It is total bullshit to say a photo with a non-trans-woman is ok but if a transgender woman does the same, then it is inappropriate.
