Personally, I don't find it difficult to assert myself as a woman or out myself when necessary, but avoiding the latter is the path of least resistance. I mean, I'm as real as the next girl, probably more - the only things fake on me are my acrylic nails, but I don't feel the need to announce that I'm trans without a reason nor force people to accept something about me that should have no bearing on my relationship with them in the first place. I think the best thing a transwoman can do to further the cause is just lead her life in an exemplary manner and prove every day that transpeople are not that different from cis people, as opposed to trying to force educate everyone.

I mean, sure, I have my share of views about which I can get overzealous here on the forum, but presumably guys come her partly for a bit of an education. If someone's not asking, I just don't feel the need to try to school everyone. Those who are truly interested in us will do the research, those who don't will keep their distance, and those who oppose us will die off in the next two decades or so, so I for one am just going to sit back and enjoy the ride and try to attract the right people into my life instead of trying to 'convert' people.
