Natural afro-texture hair looks too similar to pubic hair. It may do something for some guys, but nothing for me.

I applaud you for going natural. Keep strong. Our natural appearance is beautiful . . . because WE say so. It was beautiful before "they" came and snatched us from Afrika, and it is beautiful now. It's time we started to ignore the people who just don't and won't get it. Uhuru beautiful sista.

I like it. I think it's hot in itself but what's also hot is people just being themselves. Plus, it just looks punky in a very cool way. It's an expression of individuality.

Well maintained yeah it does have a punkish look which some guys might like as well. But don't come into my offices looking for a job with that hair lol

perming and pressing your hair is not about being white or trying to act white

its about having diversity and options.

many African American blacks or mixed because of all the rape that happen during the slavery period and because of places that where fled too. for example many African Americans or mixed with French ( hence the term creole) or native American ( although some native Americans had slave but some African American had slaves two).

we don't say Caucasian people are trying to be black when they curl there hair or they get butt work done.

Caucasian women get body waves /perms as a way to manage there hair and achieve diversity and options. many white women I know have weaves they are done on Ventura blvd or on Melrose. its need to feel in the parts where they hair has not grown are will not grow as desired.

Healthy hair grows, damaged hair breaks off and doesn't retain length, dry brittle hair also breaks off. I grew my hair by keeping it moisturized and using protective styling. I stopped relaxing it and stopped using heat, not even a blow dryer. Now I use heat sometimes but never relaxer. Acne can be cured now if you have the $$

it might not even be acne

there are so many other skin conditions that cause break outs and blemishes

it very well could be an allergy or some other reaction

Perming your hair to manage it is not trying to be White, but Perming your hair because its more excepted and resembles another race is. I myself and billions of other black women are victims of this, yes the European look looks nice, and i love to rock this look, but we as black women have begun to neglect our own hair and rely on everything but.......Reason alot of us are walking around bald......too much heat and harsh chemicals are damaging to the hair and its time we all appreciate our gods given

I love the way women of different ethnicities look. I feel they should embrace who they are and how they are supposed to look. I can't figure out why a woman with beautiful brown eyes would cover them up with some fake looking colored contact lenses.

We didn't need to read it three different times, dip shit.
You're basically spamming the forum; plus you're pretty much bat shit crazy.
If you relied less on your "copy pasta" approach to tangible intelligence and weren't so god damn anti-white people and a little more pro-people-in-general we'd all get along a lot better and you wouldn't be considered such a nuisance.

@texastanite; you must be new around here. How's it goin'? Welcome to H.A.
With that out of the way, allow me to make introductions.
Natina posts practically random crap all over the forums and generally gets on everybody's nerves. PomonaCA loves attention. He likes to spark little fights as often as possible by preaching the most passive-aggressive, overtly offensive stuff he can just to follow with excuses as to why he shouldn't be held accountable.
Me? I'm long-winded, but more or less chill. If you stick around here, eventually you'll find there are a lot of people you'll probably want to avoid yackin' with, but amongst the plethora of cow dung, there's a few people around here who shine... but not like the vampires from Twilight. That shit was tired and lame.

Personally, I go for low-maintenance chicks. I'm not talking about ladies who shower every third day, but I don't go for the dolled up plastic look, thick makeup, constant manicures and pedicures, expensive weaves, or designer brand clothing.

This topic isn't about all that, though. If we're just talking hair, I'm a sucker for the natural look.

With a couple of exceptions all of the black women (GG) that I've dated had very short, natural hair (Much like the two ladies at the bottom of the previous post). I pretty much found that look to be most attractive on them, but not exclusive of other styles.

I recently watched the Chris Rock documentary, "Good Hair". Yikes! The culture and industry around black hair is beyond belief.

Ok , so i hear what all you guys are saying , and thanks its good to know you men arent so one track minded....But i like to push things a little. So with that being said i know all of you guys like the long lusious European look...So your in a club and theres two beautiful girls but one has a more kinky texture hair, Witch do you find more attractive?

ALL Natural is the way to go. You in Orlando still???

Natural every time. You look fantastic with those curls. So much better than that over processed weave look. IMHO
