If you are in Massachusetts area or want to travel. We are trying to re-introduce the Transgender Equal Rights Bill on Jan 27th at the Massachusetts State Office from 11 am - 2 pm

We did this in 2008 but obviously are repealing! It's so important that if you can we need as many people to go out and convince your congress men/women how important this bill would be!

This would mean equality everywhere, not just in the current 8 states and 70 cities who recognize and protect Gender Identity.

Sweet Kisses,

Kelly

Or if you cannot be there, call your state rep and senator:

Can’t make it all?
We will be asking those who just can’t make it to the State House to call their Senator and Rep.
Sponsored by MTPC and the Transgender Equal Rights Coalition – Visit www.masstpc.org or call 617-778-0519 for more information. (http://www.masstpc.org/)

Forgive me for asking, but exactly what kind of rights are you looking for that aren't already available?

What this Bill Does

This bill will add Massachusetts to 13 other states, Washington D.C., and 132 counties and cities, including Boston, Cambridge, Northampton, and Amherst, that protect transgender people. This bill will make the protection of transgender people explicit, uniform, and visible to the general public.

It will include gender identity and expression in the state's non-discrimination statute and will amend existing hate crime laws to explicitly protect people targeted for violence and harassment.
