I know a lot of people have been complaining about the ongoings of this board the last few months. People complain about the new layout (which, now that I'm used to it, I actually prefer), they complain about the girls, they complain about the guys, they complain that the mods don't do anything.

ENOUGH! There is nowhere, I repeat, NOWHERE on the internet that allows more freedom of speech for our niche than HA. This board is a place where everybody, even those of us who can't stand each other, can have discourse; sometimes it's nasty, sometimes it's productive, but it's always free (in more ways than one since there's no fee to join). The mods aren't heavy handed because we're all adults and we should be able to talk to each other without resorting to name calling, stalking, threats, and violence, but they are always there when things get really out of hand. Don't get it twisted: many bans have been hammered. ;)

The bottom line is: I value freedom of speech. I think the trans community needs to have a continuous dialog for better or worse. I think transsexual porn stars have the most exposure of any other group under the so-called trans-umbrella. And I think we ought not take this board for granted because strategic division of labor is exactly what those most in control want and without a way to communicate, that's exactly what they'd have.

You think things are bad now? Imagine if there was no HA.

Nice thoughts Bella. Yea...it gets pissy sometimes, and I need a breather. I will say this...I've never witnessed a group of people brought together by seemingly common interests where there's more categories and more name calling, or maybe it's passion...but I don't think so. LOL Rival motorcycle gangs don't have this much animosity, trust me ! Yeah, I've participated briefly on a couple of the other forum-oriented sites but I've settled on this one as the one and only, for the reasons Bella mentions.

However, since we're on the topic of the Hung Angels website and it's relative merit, I do want to say that some around here are suffering under one particular misconception... that is, this is not a porn site. It's not a site where guys come to get free porn to beat off to. I always laugh when someone brings that up. Sure, pictures of naked girls are posted, but seriously, there are many other "free" sites that have more complete sets, better videos, better interviews, better behind the scenes, etc. Some are legally free. Some aren't. But seriously, any guy that is using this site for content to jerk off to, really should get out there and explore a little.

Guys probably have different reasons to come here... learn about transsexuals in general, learn about new girls on the scene, trade posts with real live girls, find out about events, and get feedback on insecurities about their sexual orientation. But for porn? Naaaah

Agreed. I've been lurking on and off since 2003 and have learned a lot and not just about transsexuals. Some very interesting people posted here in the past and even today - too bad so many have left. One of the few sites that I continue to visit whenever I need a laugh.

The Mods here do allow things, in most cases, to run their course. HA is not hampered by overbearing site regulation. Since, in Bella's words, this thread is NOT about any other forum, I will respect her wish and leave my observations out, in that regard. HA is a good site with alot of diversity, I enjoy it. Besides, Bella's here!

I think you're correct on this, Bella, although my experience is limited to smaller sites run by individual ladies. When I first came here I was a bit turned off by some of the behavior on here, but the freedom of expression allowed here is simply awesome.

The best part of coming here for me though is the exposure to so many beautiful, intelligent and talented ladies, such as yourself. I love coming on here and reading your latest stuff because it's always very interesting and I get to look at your beautiful face while I'm doing that.
