View Full Version : Why all the hate towards women, TG and GG?

I took this suggestion from Phobun and ran with it. My apologies to Joanna Jet for using her thread to start this. I should have done it this way in the first place. to Joanna.

One of the first things I noticed on this board (after looking around at all of the beautiful ladies that hang out here) is all this nasty talk about our ladies and women in general. At 53, I guess I'm from a different generation, but I can't believe things have really changed all that much. In a lot of ways this place reminds me of the playground back in elementary school, except that if I had ever talked about a girl that way back then, I would not be here today to make this post.

I know this is the Internet and that we are all sitting semi-anonymously behind our keyboards. But some of the stuff I've seen posted by guys on here would get them seriously hurt or worse if they actually said it out in the world. I used to work on loading docks and in scrapyards and the crews were usually pretty raw, but I've seen things said on here that would make some of them blush.

I know all about talking shit, I'm a guy. But a lot of this goes past that into just flat-out mean talk. Some of the shit that went down yesterday got to that point and one person found themselves backing away from their words.

It seems like a lot of the guys on here either are or want to act like punk ass boys who think of women as nothing more than a set of holes to stick their dicks in. Worse are the knotheads who threaten physical retaliation to anyone who dares disagree with them. I am not apprehensive of such tactics, I've heard such talk for years and most of the time it's meaningless.

What it all comes down to IMHO is bullying people.

You don't like transsexuals, think anyone who likes the ladies who are still transitioning are gay, aren't willing to touch a cock, why the hell did you join the board?

Listen up, boys, you ain't all that. Not a single one of you would be walking around on this rock without a woman being involved. Everyone of you had mothers, whether they'd still claim you if they read some of the shit you post on here. I've worked with men and women all my life and if I'm given the choice of working with a man or a woman, I pick the woman every time. Not because I'm some sort of sissy, but because my consistent experience has been that women are better workers and people than most of the men I've known. Also because I know if something happens to me, the woman will handle the situation rather than standing there with their mouth hanging open.

You guys talk like you got the biggest balls on the block. No way. Everyone of these ladies on here has you beat, because they've got the courage of the lioness and were willing to risk everything to correct their situation. So lay off the insults and the threats before all that's left on here is the bunch of punk asses talking shit to each other.

Most guys who badmouth girls' looks don't even post pictures of themselves. If they do then its usually a picture with them wearing a hat or oversized glasses. As you said, this is the Internet. People talk shit about other people, because there is no consequence. But the girls are not so innocent either. I have seen some threads where the girls tear at each other as well and call each other man, baboon, or whatever. The guys should know better though.

I got more sense than to get in the middle of a catfight, so I'll let them police themselves. :)

Thanks for your post

What's most fucced up is ultimately all the bad-mouthing runs off new members and girls who under more civil circumstances would post here once in a while.

Too many people use being on the internet behind a keyboard as a license to be an asshole, and they jump in it!!!

If you put all the shit-talkers in a club together, maybe one would even speak up to say their name.

I blame the mods.

I blame the mods.

I don't know. I think the mods step in when a thread goes too far. People get banned, but they always come back under another alias. Maybe there needs to be a TS mod.

The ignore list is also another option too. But its kind of hard to do that when people quote the person that you are trying to ignore.

Point well taken...I think for myself, when I first happened on HA, I conducted myself as I would had it been a chance meeting with anyone in real life...respectful, polite, etc...As GH eluded too...I never used the anonymity the internet provides to be a hostile asshole. To be honest...I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of Hot ladies that were regular posters. That's not to say I didn't have disagreements on this, and the political board that got heated, but most , if not all, never disintegrated into pissing contests. The vast majority of ladies that participate are sweethearts, but stray off the orthadoxy with a few of them and you'd better duck ! And actually I'm not even sure some of them are ladies...could be imposters for all I know !
Poke me in the eye with a stick once, and chances are I'll let it slide and warn you what's coming if it happens again, but after the second or third time....I'm gonna come back at ya. To be sure...GH is right....that most of the shit said here probably wouldn't be said face to face. I think being a discourteous asshole who's quick on the draw with insults and doesn't play well with others is not confined to one gender and has more to do with personality, than anything else....So now I find it amusing....who's a faggot...who's a cock hound, who's a man, who's a woman, who's gay, who's not, who's a power bottom....LMAO !

Hello BigDF & Giovanni,

It's like if Angela Jolie had a fan board, and everyday there were posters ripping her parenting skills, her performance in movies, cheating on Billy Bob with Brad, etc.
How long do you think she'd stick around??

Giovanni's analogy is right on the money and it would be good to see HA return to it's earliest days when it's focus was on celebrating shemale porn and enjoying what it has to offer to all of it's members, who after all, are surely here for this common interest.

Kisses,

Joanna

Haters gonna hate.
So long as HA remains a forum, there will always be forum trolls and uninformed newbies who sign up just to air their opinions and stir the shit. The only time HA wasn't like that was back when nobody really knew about the site.

Pleading and complaining about it isn't going to change a damn thing. In fact, I'm surprised this whole thread hasn't turned into troll-fodder yet. I just don't understand why everyone keeps referencing the "old days" because things were just as screwy and biased back then, too.

The responses on here have been very reasonable. I know haters are always going to hate, but that doesn't mean we have to live with it. Things can change, and they will, either positively or negatively. Sure things were screwy and biased in the "old days" but I would lay money not expressed as viciously as this is a reflection of our larger outside culture.

I've spent a lot of my life tilting at the windmills in our culture and I know not to expect much, if any change. But I can't stand by and watch it all go away without trying to do something about it. As I said when I started this thread, if the ladies go, we have nothing. So if you're out there lurking and you favor the ladies, here's your chance to let them know you're on their side. :)

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far.

Dave

:iagree:

Yeah... Reading & dealing with the immature delinquents on here calling people CD's from thread to thread & the constant harassment from others - the shit gets old - FAST!

& when you contact a mod about it, they say "everything is okay."

HATERS: Have you ever worried about what your words may do to someone emotionally? I mean, there are some people in the world who aren't as strong as others - so your disrespectful comments and hate could definitely impact someones life one day - just something to keep in the back of your mind.

Hi Grim,

Haters gonna hate.
I just don't understand why everyone keeps referencing the "old days" because things were just as screwy and biased back then, too.

I see that you have been a member since 2005 so that makes you a newbie to an old bird like me that has been on this site since 2002 ;-)

I certainly agree that back in those good old days, there were indeed bad apples too but at least they were in a minority.

What is important though is that this thread is clearly demonstrating that there is a wish for change and the fact that I have posted more than once in a week is surely a good sign!!

This is a noble and worthy thread, if quixotic. So thanks.

But if the number of views so far is indicative, it's not going to be high profile on this board.

So I think more of the positive, reasoned posts are also needed in the viral threads like that "Men that F*ck CD's" one, which BigDF and others are already doing.

Oldbie versus newbie battle, eh? lol. I'd think it's pretty safe to say we both have a good grasp on the year-to-year flux on HA. A lot has changed, but I think it's been for the better. I remember when I first signed up, much of the discussion around here was transition-related. Posts about hormones, pumping, surgery, SRS, make-up tips, and tucking were common-place. New users would sign up just to blatantly cause problems and air their derogatory, homophobic opinions within their first 20 posts, but I think the lack of community and public acceptance lent to that. With the exception of a handful of trustworthy admirers, most of the guys couldn't or wouldn't mix into conversation with the girls on HA because more often than not, they'd slip with a little naivety and end up being bullied right off the forum despite their intentions. That might sound like I'm trying to demonize the community back then, but not really. There were weeks in which for every trouble-makin' dude purposely run off, two would show up and cause more problems, so it sort of came with the territory. A lot of the semi-regulars had a preordained bad rap.

Now despite talk shows essentially demonizing transsexuals, the "Jerry Springer" era has more or less dissipated. Our forum trolls no longer bluntly call the ladies around here "dudes" or "men", incessantly talk about "shemales", or blatantly insult right off the bat, unprovoked. Yes, we have a few of those, but they're no where near as numerous as they used to be.

Instead, we have "barbie manufacturers". Dudes who want a chick that looks a certain way and go as far as insulting fishy bitches who don't meet their standards. I don't get it. There's been plenty of times I haven't followed the "if you don't have anything nice to say..." rule of thumb, but I know when to keep my thoughts in my head. I don't understand why some people have such a problem with that. Mental disability, I guess.

So far, I haven't gotten to the "change for the better" part yet. Lately (and I mean very lately), the topics in GD have been interesting to say the least. I don't really want to put a positive or negative spin on that, though. The point is, the forum has been active. VERY active. Something this forum has got going is working. It might just be all the user-drama. I mean, this place does play out a bit like an adult soap opera. Maybe the new users and lurkers think it's entertaining. That's sort of painting a rainbow black, but in an ass-backward way you could call it a positive.

That and I think there's far more user-to-user relation now than there has been in the past. This place used to be a bit of a "good ol' boys" club. If you weren't part of "The Circle of Regulars" it was a challenge being recognized or getting replies. That's different now. Even new users are mixing in pretty well so long as they're willing to contribute. It's rare noobies get hazed anymore. Truth be told, that's about the only reason I miss having Dupree around. She was some solid entertainment.

xxxHey, thanks Joanna! I was just gonna buzz through real quick to check the progress, but then I saw your post and had to respond. I'm encouraged by the responses I've seen and a bit surprised that the little boys haven't come bounding in here yet. We'll see what happens in the next day or so.
