The Legend of Hell House

Not scary by today's standards, but, a near perfect film.

Rebecca, if you haven't seen it, get "28 Days Later". Lights down, phone off and try to tinkle beforehand, babygirl! I sat through it straight and towards the end my heart was pounding out of my chest!

I've been sliced open (carry a foot long scar), burned in a gas explosion (prettiest thing I've ever seen) and was in a nightmare fever for twelve hours after a Man'o'War sting BUT THIS $HIT IS SCARY!

The sequel sucks - 28 Weeks Later- don't bother.

That movie suck too!

It was just a step up from this trash!

I'll have to check that out- but my taste runs more toward psychological thriller than gore..

(Not about to have the "suspension of disbelief" conversation on a board forum!)

After watching this new style (if you call it that) horror... I would just watch something as stupid as "Food of the Gods".

Horror sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly, the first grudge movie scared the crap out of me. My neighbor had a cat, and I couldn't sleep because I was scared that ghost girl was under my bed. I went into the kitchen to get something, to eat, the cat mewed --- pasta all over the walls. lol

I don't do well with scary. The original Grudge scared me, but then The Fog with Jamie Lee Curtis scared me, so it doesn't take much :hide-1:

I prefer the silly, totally unscary comic-book horror of Underworld, but really I only watch it for Kate :)

The only good horror is j-horror, there is a reason it is copied to death. Here are some of my favorites,

A Tale of Two Sisters
Ichi The Killer
Meatball Machine
Carved
Audition
Dumplings
Kaidan
Dark Water
Marebito
Tokyo Gore Police
The Machine girl
RoboGeisha

The only american horror film i like is hard candy.

I've never been much into horror films as a whole, but I think the scariest one I saw was "Carrie" because the ending where the hand comes out of the grave and grabs the girl by the wrist.:hide-1:

I love horror movies and sometimes the cheesier the better. I got to sit down and watch The Human Centipede this past weekend. That was a very strange and disturbing movie. It wasn't gory at all. I prefer scares and suspense over gore anymore. Just a weird sick minded movie.

Generally I'm not into horror films, but I liked this series.

Another type that I would like is science fiction horror. I saw Pandorum the other day, not bad.

The Grudge still scares the shit out of me to this day! Though the second and third were HORRIBLE!
Another great movie is the original Shutter! Pretty much everything in that movie made me jump. Then they had to go and release a shitty American version and totally ruin it!

Good vampire films yeah love 'em, Near Dark being my fave. Like all the old hammer ones too.

Not too keen on the new vampire stuff.

Love old Italian stuff, Argento's "Susperia" and Fulci's "The Beyond" are awesome.

I liked the original Hellraiser - I think it was so good because Clive Barker himself directed it and it was faithful to the book. For me the sequels just sucked. I hope the new movie is better.
