It has been my finding that TS girls really don't really dress in fetish gear of most sorts.
You'll find the occasional pair of stockings with garters under a dress, or shoes that look like they belong in a dungeon but these are the exception to the rule.
Allanah used to wear some corsets to her parties and some girls would rock latex or leather pants (rarely). But it seems for a group who do a lot of sexually related stuff, TS girls don't break out much fetish wear.
I wonder if the low showing of fetish gear is because
a) it's kind of expensive?
b) mostly TVs wear corsets, Cuban hose etc. and not wearing it is just one more way to make that distinction between TS and TV more clear?
c) it's uncomfortable and girls can't turn tricks as easily or quickly wearing that stuff?
d) even when they're escorting at a weekly party in NYC they still want to be as close to blending in as an everyday girl so that's I see so many pair of jeans?
e) something I'm not thinking of?

Hell yeah, that shit is expensive.

I'm looking at an outfit for my girlfriend. Five articles of clothing, $270 total.

Plus in practice, it really has only two or three applications (IMO): private fetish sessions, photo-shoots and parties. And wearing it to the typical hangout spot does make you rather conspicuous....

I'd say the opposite. They do seem to go together and lots of girls seem to be into that stuff. I don't go for it myself so I notice it more as an impediment, when a girl I'd rather see in jeans or naked is all dolled up in her finery instead. Can't please all the people all the time...

Heavens, Man, have you no awareness of TSSeduction? Everything you list is in threads on this site. You just have to browse it!

Here in the States, barring holidays I've only seen that gear in public a handful of times. Course, I don't travel much outside of Texas and Louisiana....

Yeah, I probably misunderstood the OP. I was talking about online. If the OP meant in public then I guess you're right, such outfits are more usually seen at those parties and clubs where numerous people can wear their fetish gear and feel accepted.

I have a bunch of latex. It's great for some clubs and the right times. Most likely it's just not the right places you are going to. Fetish and BDSM clubs would be a wiser choice. You're still likely to meet trans girls there.

I don't doubt some girls do wear some stuff online and in certain clubs. However, at most of the NYC parties, they don't.
Some guys like myself find that stuff alluring (i.e. hose, garters, latex, leather, rubber, etc.), and if you're working in a business where you need to entice men and you want to stand out, I figure wearing something special would help, but I don't see it all that often...

I think you're on to something there.. Or it could be that most straight ts:s just aren't in to that kind of thing. While transvestism seems to, more often than not, go together with (multi)fetishism, bdsm, etc.. There are actually some doctors that have done a lot of research on the subject.

Sounds reasonable, if you consider that transvestism by definition is all about the outfits, but TS's just want to be accepted as normal girls. Good point. :geek:

But why would doctors research the subject? Are they trying to make a case that there is a neurosis or disorder involved?

I've found that most fetish inspired outfits that I've purchased I only end up wearing for one or two shoots... which gets expensive fast. So, I tend to get pieces that can be worn over again in a variety of different settings.

I'm finding it half and half. Some girls I've known are 100% into just dressing normally to fit in, and the other half have an interest and a small wardrobe of fetish gear. The stuff is very expensive, just a decent latex dress is about 250-300 dollars!

Publish or perish, especially if you want that hot sweet grant money. I don't think they're trying to find correlations with certain neuroses, but rather just cataloguing the various ways in which transvestic fetishism can manifest.

Speaking personally; I find it too unforgiving.

People give them money for that? Wow, enthusiasts would do it for free...

I'm an American and don't conceed much, However in my humble opinion if you're looking for that type of Fetish...better head to Europe...Germany in particular. In fact there are numerous fetish clubs in Koln ( Colonge) alone. They just simple do it better. It's far more common and open there . That's not to say that there aren't some hot fetish queens here ( Rubber Doll comes to mind) but I could stand to see more of it here on both TV and GG's , and yes....it's fucking pricey !

Agree, TSSeduction might be one of the few sites where you get several good looking transgenders and some kinda fetish gear. They have some of the best looking and well know women in the business and the potential to be one of the top sites out there. Only problem imo with the site is they focus way too much on the men when they play out the "pretend" scenes. Still, you might enjoy it.
