View Full Version : We're All Just Chasers.

The term "chaser" has changed a lot since 2005. I remember back when it could be interchanged with the word "creeper" and was usually used to describe a dude with way too much motivation to sleep with whatever piece of transgender ass he could. There wasn't a quirky nickname to describe guys who weren't trying to play power-bottom to an escort on the cheap. Amazingly, we were just considered normal back then.

The word chaser has taken on a different definition since. It's first transformation applied to any dude trying to get a lower suggested donation price. Suddenly, any guy who had short bucks was a chaser. Unfortunately, when some prideful and hopeless yutz started rambling on about similarities and feelings then admitted he worked at Subway, his wallet determined him a chaser. No big thing, though. The rest of us weren't the type to profess an undying love to anybody over the internet.

Now, it's as though the term means nothing. It's a low-blow insult used to suggest a dude is annoying, pushing his boundaries, ugly, short, fat, bald, smelly, poor, talks about other people too much, starts drama... I mean, I could keep going here. Instead of being interchangeable with the word "creeper", a chaser is now interchangeable with a generic insult like "moron" or "fugly". The whole ordeal plays out like a game of "pin the tail on the donkey". Once a chick throws down the "chaser" flag, everybody else just assumes the accused a creepy, introverted little slag.

I'm not trying to say I'm the only one without issues around here. Trust me, I have issues too. I'm not pointing the finger at anybody. Personally, I don't think there are too many chasers posting around here. I'd just rather a word mean something and get applied accordingly or be thrown out.

So, what effectively separates the creepers from guys who don't go out of their way and don't obsess? Is it really just an empty insult now? I mean, is it even believable that a dude and transsexual can just have regular conversation without things quickly turning to sex or getting creepy?

You make some good points. I usually look to Urban Dictionary for how a term is being viewed in the popular culture:

We have events such as beauty pageants. We are there for the event. The chasers assume they can get some dick or ass. Never works. NOBODY likes a chaser. Then they have the gall to tell you they don't pay for sex. Then I tell them thats why they are not having sex, then I move on to the sexy piece of trade holding my drink.

I noticed chasers are rarely good looking. We have one who comes to Miss Continental every year. he looks like a 70"s game show host with a bad toupee and a turtleneck under his suit.

They come from the planet Uranus and apparently eat up Puerto Ricans. :shrug

Their natural habitat is clubs and the internet , they are attracted to designer handbags and shoes as well as fine liquor.

Be warned that they have heightened senses and abilities ... such as sniffing out faggotry and running in stilletto heels.

Each is different and approach cautiously but w/ confidence.

Personally I don't give a fuck if I'm considered a "chaser"...just be happy you're being chased in the first place...

I'm not getting chased. I've been called a chaser in the past; by Dupree, no less, but that was because I just so happened to disagree with her. Nichole is and always has been full of a lot of hot air, but I see situations where dudes are just trying to be friendly and end up getting tagged.

I'm not saying "Quit picking on all of us!", but understanding that the TS community is really tight-knit, once somebody has the chaser badge they get stuck out in the dog house because all the other ladies get all weary about them too.

If it's going to be used as an insult, use a different insult. Some of these dudes really aren't asking to be blacklisted and don't deserve that kind of treatment for disagreeing or being misunderstood.

They keep running dammit! lol
I think it's mostly an insult but whatever. :shrug
Yeah, but what happens around here when a dude slips and drops the word 'shemale'? I think there's a bit of a double-standard. Like, we need to watch the way we speak about the women, but in turn; they're allowed to disrespect in any regard and in many situations they're actually praised for it.

Besides, dude... you've never been anything but polite and respectful (with few exceptions) on HA. While at times it seems to border on meekness, and some of your shit is pretty corny, you don't really deserve the name calling. Are you a chaser? I don't know. Should a guy be blacklisted for showing a little interest every now and then? A simple "no thanks" would suffice as reply; not a slander campaign.

Chasers are jokes. The dudes you see at events with their hands in their pockets lurking. All the girls avoid them
Okay, so we have a pretty solid definition of a 'classic' chaser here. I just don't see how it applies well to dudes in a computer forum on the internets. lol. Alright, so; guys who stand around, acting all awkward at trans fashion shows because they're too damn scared to casually talk, all while hoping to meet the mute transwoman of their dreams and play lick-a-dick when they get back to his wife's house. That's a chaser. What are we? Well, I'm definitely not a chaser. I've been around since 2005 and I haven't seen many dudes around here who fit that description.

That and, I just don't see the point in using the insult online with dudes who aren't clients and live too far away to ever warrant bumping into you. More so when you consider there's an ignore function on the forum. If a guy PM's you and the message comes across all creepy, and his posts really don't do much for the forum, ignore his ass. It's easy.

You mean transvestites. I know tranny is an easier word for you to spell, but you don't get tranny ass, you get transvestite ass. Now you can copy and paste.

He's just trying to add notches to his belt at this point. There will either come a time where he says something completely ridiculous which ends up ostracizing him from the community, or he might just continue beating guts with some of the dumbest chicks he can until he either reaches a plateau and gives up or upgrades. Seriously, the guy plays his game like a round of Donkey Kong. Hey Daryl, Vanessa is a chick with a bit more talent for discourse than you. She might have some pretty screwy opinions, but it's obvious she has a brain in her head and a body to match. Better jump that barrel, man. Ms. Dim-Witted Perfection is in a cage at the top. lol.

Last, there were LOTS of chasers at the last two pageants I attended; that description fits them to a tee. I was personally offended.

I wanted to add that I'm not saying every dude around here needs to be treated with more respect. I can see this from the opposite side, too. There are dudes who sign up for the forums just to drop the girls a PM that read something like:

Ay bay bay.
I wuz wondrin if ud pay 4 my plain tix if I doenated.
I hav a too foot dick. hit me bak.or:

I think your beautiful. I'm in town on a business trip.
I don't want your phone number because I like keeping
things as discreet as possible. I have a lot to lose.
What would you say to "meating" me at a hotel nearby.
I'll bring the patron and viagra. I can't wait to taste that
boypussy of yours. Not real appealing. I get that. I don't get PMs on the daily from the ladies around here asking if they can suck me off. I think I'd appreciate it a little more than you do, so I can't exactly sympathize.

On the other hand, I know how easy it is to go off on somebody around here because I misjudge their character or motivation. If you've already read through three disrespectful PMs and then you get to one that reads like:

Hey. I noticed we both live in the same city.
I read through your profile on here and facebook.
I think we have a lot in common and you seem pretty
chill. If you ever want to get together for a cup of
coffee and some conversation, hit me back....chances are it's easier to ignore the guy or group him in with the other whack jobs because he might just be rooting around for donationless services. He might be hiding a girlfriend, a wife, or two kids; or god forbid, he might be puppy-dogging or defending a couple of the girls on here because he feels their opinions are usually valid. All are unfortunate reasons why dudes get called out around here.

Dude, stop running your gob. I get out all the time. I'm going out with an ex and her girlfriend bar hopping tonight. I already know I'm getting laid, and there's a fat possibility of a threesome going down. I don't have any issue keeping up a social life. You're hatin' because I'm opinionated and long-winded. Writing essays is kind of my bag, though. It's not that I feel really passionate about any of this. It's that I like to approach everything from all sides and play Devil's advocate. Not to derail the whole topic, but honestly I'm more prone to sluffing off being called a chaser. It obviously doesn't apply to me, and it doesn't take long for that kind of drama to blow over. Other guys around here aren't as lucky, so I'm playing advocate a bit.

I've seen. You're the perfect size for me actually. Long and thin. My favorite! Maybe you'd find a way to warm me up after all?!

High five!
I do get some fat green, but it's not that type of "green". I'm working on that, though.

Chasers are jokes. The dudes you see at events with their hands in their pockets lurking. All the girls avoid them
I was looking for my keys I told you. Please believe me! That wet spot was... Let me get back to you on that one.

Sad shit is, I'm really not saying anything offensive and you're not debating anything I've said. You're just another one of those "TLDR" dudes. Here's a bright idea... go read shorter posts. Preferably ones with pictures.

LOLLLLL yea a 3some with who? your fat ex girlfriend and her 300 lb friend? enjoy

Like the nature channel around here hahaha
