Wow, that was a long interview but I enjoyed it. The part of the interview where you talked about taking steroids was great. There are a lot of people that think if you take steroids you can just sit on your ass and build muscle and become a superstar athlete, and that just not true. You have to work hard at it, very hard at it.
The only downside to the interview is the fact that you children don't really want you around their school or events that they participate in. But at least they still love you and want to see you. Hopefully when they get older their views will change. The way I see it is that the LGBT community will become more and more accepted as time goes on.

You talk alot about nutrition and clearly that is important, but is any of the loss of 50 pounds (230 to 180) attributable to estrogen? You said 3500 kcal = 1 pound, so 50 pounds times 3500 kcal/pound would be 175,000 kcal. So if you cut 700 calories a day for 5 of 7 days per week, was that the sole intervention you needed to drop the 50 pounds over the course of a year, or did you get help because estrogen is less anabolic than testosterone and potentiated the loss of an existing large muscle mass?

Good morning and THANK YOU so much for to everyone who posted and all the wonderfully supportive and sweet emails. I was honestly shocked at the volume of positive emails, maybe our society is changing faster than I suspected.

To phobun question about the weight lose. I was 230 pounds in late 2008 and over the 18 months I reduced down to 180 based on calorie reduction and muscle atrophy. The reduction in steroids (testosterone) and addition of testosterone blocks and estrogen rapidly produced muscle atrophy and since muscle weights much more than fast this would account for much of the weight lose. Although I still needed to reduce my calorie intake from 5000 calories a day to around 2500, depending on how much cardio I am doing that day, to maintain weight lose.

I hope this answers the questions and feel free to ask anything.

Chris Tina Foxx BruceJust saw news on the internet that Chris Tina is competing in a bodybuilding contest today in San Diego. It is called the Border States and she's competing in the women's division! Good luck to her. She certainly won't lack for muscle!
