XBOX 360 or PS3???

Seems like there are a lot of gamers here. I still have my trusty PS2 and a Nintendo DS. I am thinking about getting a new system and wondering which one to buy. Which of the 2 systems is better or are they pretty much the same deal? More into single player games and don't care too much for online play. Also don't care about the Move/Kinect features.

Some will say get PS3 because of blu-ray , but if you already own a blu-ray player then that argument goes out the window.

Glad you responded as I know you love your video games. I have a Sony Blu-Ray Player already. I think the XBOX 360 will play my old XBOX games too. Are the newer model XBOX 360s reliable or do they break like the older ones(red light of death)?

So far they are more reliable and much quieter , and they boot up slightly faster.

And the 4gig model is just $200.

You can actually watch movies on your PS3. The 360 is loud as fuck. I got the RROD and Microsoft wouldn't repair my system... Fuck 360

Ive got a 360 and wished I bought a PS3. But, If your not goin online, Free for PS3 and $9 a month for 360, and you have a blue Ray already, its pretty equal. Maybe look into the games you want to play. Many are not exclusive, but some are. Gran Turismo for one, is PS3 only. Check the black friday deals too, you may just wanna get the best deal if there are no other factors

Well I like the best of both worlds so I got one each. My older 36o's disk drive is getting a bit noisy so I think its on its last legs. Ps3 is my number 1 DVD and Blu-ray player and good for the occasional exclusive games I want on that system, 360 seems to have more exclusive games I like but if I want a game for the graphics I usually go for a PS3 game. Not much of an online player, usually just target practice for the serious players so I let my xbox live account expire and just play single player campaigns.

Good choice, most of the games that are on the 360 are also on the PS3. With the exception of Fable, Halo, L4D, and Gears of War.
