With the exception of the Nikki Araguz case, you don't even hear in the media much about transwomen adopting kids or being moms. And most transsexuals here or anywhere else don't exactly pine for a family man and kids.

Although a big factor in that might be that so many of the guys are just insincere chasers. A lot of guys are on the DL, and the rest don't contemplate the idea of kids with a transwoman because most guys are looking to drop their load and seek their next conquest.

I think the problem is most of the guys here have only seen transsexual in a sexual capacity. Speaking only for myself....I believe I am very maternal. My friends, family and people in general often come to me when they need to be consoled or need guidance.

I often think about being a mother but worry about the repercussions the child would suffer as a result. That being said, I still one day look forward to being able to shape a young mind and create a positive and productive citizen that will be able to make a difference in the world.

I don't think sex-workers are giving transsexuals a bad name....I think the fact that some guys are very narrow minded and don't take the time to see the entire TG community gives transsexuals a bad name. You can't hang out at a police station and complain about running into police officers. If you want to know transsexuals who are not sex-workers you have to expose yourself to the community as at large.

I could easily point the finger back at you in terms of how many men objectify transsexuals but I won't go there...in stead, I will simply say: you have a lot to learn. Its like when people say all black men are criminals or have tons of illegitimate children. Stereotypes can be very dangerous.
