Alzheimer's 40 fags risk

Two packs of cigarettes a day in middle age is enough to more than double your risk of developing Alzheimer's.
Heavy smokers see the danger of getting the disease rise by 157%, a study found.
And the chance of getting vascular dementia - caused by blood clotting - soars by 172% in 40-a-day smokers.
Study author Rachel Whitmer, of California, said: "The brain is not immune to the long-term consequences of heavy smoking."
She also found that a large stomach raised the risk dementia in late life.
