Transgender day of remembrance 2010

The Transgender day of remembrance is observed every 20th of November. That is just around the corner.

I strongly encourage everyone who actually cares a wit about the women that you all admire on this board and what we deal with to check this website out.

Various sorts of commemorations are held around the world for this day.


In Chicago we had a certain event for years...that I haven't heard any firm information about happening. So many programs have been a victim of the lack of donations and cost cutting these days. i.e. one rather important youth program here in Chicago, Tyra was unceremoniously suspended a while back. It would be a shame if the night of the falling stars has suffered the same fate.

Such a subject should not be so easily swept away.agreed thank you brenda for bringing this important day to us,im not sure what ill do on that day but im sure i will have a heavy heart thats for sure,my sisters mean the wolrd to me no matter how much we disagree we will always carry an unbreakable bond that will forever be linked to each and everyone of us.
on that day will ask all my siter to please be respectfull to one another in honour of those who are waching over us.thank-you ladies.

Especially the little baby boy who was beaten to try and make him be more manly. What the heck could a kid that little do that would look feminine or masculine for that matter?

Sometimes it IS discouraging to participate on the HA Board because of all the personal attacks. :ignore: But, this type of thread is one reason why I have not left. The way many of you forgo all the negativity to rally around a worthy cause or issue!!! :claps
