The Magic Hour was great. It was like the Arsenio Hall Show only taller. Magic's monologue was always spot on and he handled his guests with the precision of a surgeon. Damn Cracker suits never gave it a chance.

I'm sure the decision was motivated by financial considerations and not race. If he wasn't getting the viewers or ratings and ultimately bringing in the ad revenue then he had to go the way of the Jenny Jones Show.

How about this: is tjinla2001 racist because he cruises for latina and vietnamese transvestites but never seems to talk about the black girls?

If ratings were good, why would they cancel it? Money is the only real interest for networks. If they were racist, he wouldn't have had a chance in the first place.

Wow bringing up this thread after all these years. I dont even remember the show in general but if its anything like his color commentating on NBC for nba games and studio analyst for espn today then i can understand why it was cancelled.

thats why you do not see much attention to a lost African American child
but when it is a Caucasian kid it get the best coverage.

THE RATINGS ARE REFLECTION OF WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT & HOW PEOPLE FEEL.

from that you can infer that there is less empathy for an African American child lost. hey! Micheal Jackson song says they don't care about us

That show sucked. They had all kinds of great guests, & it didn't matter. They tried a facelift or 2 & different tweaks, & it didn't matter. The problem from night one was the gawd-awful host that the show was named for. If it wasn't for the terrific house band, it would have folded a lot earlier.
