I post very little in these forums, but I do read a lot of the posts. I have been around many many transgendered people over the past twelve years. I agree that no gals are particulary enthusiastic about the term shemale, and so i developed my own definition, which is fairly simple....

A shemale is a transsexual who self-identifies as a shemale.

Which basically means, you should only refer to someone as a shemale, if they already call themselves that.

i just call them girls...or if i really need to address them distinguishly (is that a word?) i'd say 't-girl' or 'transsexual'. I think those 2 are the most neutral terms, apart from 'transgendered woman' but that doesnt really roll of the tongue that nicely lol.

anyway, to answer your question: i don't think you'll get much luck on the net looking for a serious thing with a tgirl. a colleague of mine has a site which you could try, www.transpassions.com, which is like more serious but it's not that crowded (yet).

I don't think 'shemale' has the negative connotation to the world at large that it does inside the transsexual community. Much information comes from porn, and that's the term that is used.

A fellow asking for information isn't trying to be offensive, just to make himself understood.

I think there is a website called www.tgfriendfinder.com (http://www.tgfriendfinder.com) where maybe works for you. Its free and I guess its real. I tried once but got tired of guys just wanted to meet for sex.
