No one who never got clocked and thought they were unclockable would think they got clocked because someone looked at them funny:

Well anyways this guy kept following me from fruit stand to fruit stand.Im used to guy harrassing me at work but he just bothered me for some reason because he kept looking at me funny. So I walked up to him and I asked him could I help him with anything. He kept staring at me so I stared at him I was like getting paranoid cuz I thought he spooked my teas or something..

I'm sorry. I must have missed it. Just exactly WHAT did she do to incur the wrath of you guys???

I only saw her posting a story about what happened to her at work today. She didn't say anything bad about you guys until one of you guys started with her first.

Why do you guys go looking for fights?

TBTS,

I didn't attack her until she threw her little hissy fit when she got her shit blown up. I attacked her rediculous concepts - she's the one who started with making it personal. But that's usually what happens when someone can't defend their thesis, they make it ad hominem.

To be honest, I think you incited the matter a bit by posting something she said from another post.

Is it such a horrible crime for a girl to have good self esteem??? So what if you don't agree with her about being unclockable, must you try to destroy her and drag her down? Will it make you feel better?

For God's sake, she's a young, and I think, very pretty & fishy looking kid. Let her have her opinions if they don't hurt you in any way.

Somebody mentioned that movie The Badge on another thread. The way that girl got clocked had nothing to do with whether or not she passed. In fact, she actually got clocked because she could pass. Somebody spied on her, thinking she was a GG. That's why I'm saying that none of us should think it could never happen. Definately a good film.

GIRL.......... she didn't get clocked. She got recognized. There IS a difference.

I'm not saying people should be stupid in their lives, but I don't think it's cool to bash a girl who shows an ounce of self esteem and a high regard for themselves.

Actually, I dont think we care that you dont date outside your race...Just shut up with the juvenile whining already. You dont like how guys are treating you, you change who your dealing with...You cant lump every guy on the planet into the "bird muncher" category; her terms not mine.

And way to send a mixed message Shalaya LOL...first you tell the guy your not interested then you ask him if he reads your post to send you a PM....

And having a a simple conversation at work is going to out you??? I dont think so. Its not like he was shouting CHICK WITH A DICK! CHICK WITH A DICK was he?? People dont even know what HA is. If the conversation was hanging and you thought he was cute, you should have just told him to meet you after work...The girls down at our local walmart get hit on all the time, according my friend Cathy who works in Jewelry...

I dont now how people think in North Carolina, but that shits nothing new here in PA....."That wouldnt be good for customers walking in".

Some guy in front of me hits on the attractive cashier....hmm...Shocking I say! How is this bad for customers?? Its not like your a stripper./

Has no one here yet thought of the =STALKER= aspect of this?

Helloooo! :banghead

As much as I may enjoy chatting with the girls here and would love to meet/play with them, I would =never= hunt them down for a meeting like this. That someone actually went out and found her, at work no less, without asking to meet first, is more than a little disturbing, no matter how "nice" or "cute" the guy may be. :soapbox

Great point! As I was reading the story it accured to me that that was a really creepy way to "introduce" yourself to a girl. I just forgot/got side tracked about that part.

It's also very unfair to the girl. You are catching her off guard, in a place where she may not want to discuss personal issues and putting her on the defensive.

Same dudes that wouldnt approach a girl if they saw her on the street right? Okay...that just smacks me of being a pussy, but then again Ive been in a line of work that rewards aggressiveness so Im well equipped to walk up and make conversation:)

Now granted, Ive never carried pictures around with me, but if I know where you work and thats all I know about you, then yeah, Ill come there and introduce myself. Its a public store, not Lockheed Martin. Ive met some beautiful girls that way....Hey it works for me, your mileage may vary.

Its a public board Shalaya, better get used to it.....I wish HA had delete stupid post function, but then I guess the boards would be threadbare:)

So you would just walk up too her and say don't i know you from HA and expect her to be friendly, i see if she was walking the street and shopping at the mall or somewhere else, but not her workplace where she makes her money you gotta respect that man. True this is a public board but people shouldn't invade other peoples personal life

Shalaya said:

Cuz they mad that I dont date outside my race.

Shalaya, baby, I'm really having an issue with the above sentence, not because I'm mad, but because I'm kind of stunned that a girl like you, who I would expect to be open minded makes an ignorant, stupid-ass, rascist comment like that.

Whenever a girl tells me "Sorry I don't date outside my race" I just smile and reply "That's okay. I don't date outside my species".

Other than that, Shalaya, we cool. 8)

From Wikipedia
Stalking is repeated harassment or other forms of invasion of a person's privacy in a manner that causes fear to its target. It is essentially a course of conduct and particular acts include:

repeated following;
unwanted contact (by letter-writing, or other means of communication); or
observing a person's actions extremely close for an extended period of time.

I don't think this case involved true stalking. more like stalking lite. But it was rude and didn't seem to be a well calculated way to make a good first impression on someone.

As far as using Seinfeld for moral authority:

The Stakeout
Elaine brings Jerry to a birthday party where he meets a woman who fascinates him. Jerry doesn't know her name and wants to meet her again, so on some advice from his father, he and George stakeout the lobby of the building she works in.
http://www.tv.com/seinfeld/the-stakeout/episode/2242/summary.html

Jerry had already met the girl. She wasn't a stranger to him, and they didn't go to her place of work. That would not have been cool. Keep in mind, she works for Wal-Mart, which is not exactly known for its employee benevolence.
Also, this was only the second Seinfeld, which was before it became really funny. :)

Going up to someone asking if you saw them at FAT CATS is a little different than confronting a person about seeing them on a transsexual board. A bit more personal and private, don't you think?

And read the story, he never introduced himself. He just went around following her without talking. That's creepy any which way you cut it.

Well he walked over to me while I was checking the bannanas and he asked me was my name Shalaya.

Look up "reasonable expectation of privacy". There's some argument as to where some of the lines are, but if someone posts 7 times a day "I work at Walmart in Greensboro, NC" and has a photo of themself on every post, they really can't say they are on the side of the line "under the radar". It seems she wants it both ways: to be a celebutant TS and to be totally private. Those are conflicting.

PS Ditto to J's ultimate 'graph.

I get the impression that she was pretty scared at first, just from the way she describes him following her around the store and staring at her.

Made me want to ask if he was the same guy that walked J-lo home last week. :x

It could have turned out just as interesting for the guy: Remember, this is the sweeite with the box-cutter in her purse.

Lastly, it's fucking WalMart. This is the place that got a woman's kids taken away from her by social services because they deemed the baby-in-the-tub pictures she developed there to be kiddy porn. We're talking a store chain that has a national reputation for being conservative trailer-trash central. And if the KKK thinks nothing of puttin' on the sheets up here in Philly-land, you can imagine how they'd react to a young black TS getting outted in one of their 'fine southern retail establishments'.

Following her and not saying a word to her even when she asked him if she could help him about anything. Then he confronted her about who she was. In my book that's NOT an introduction.

A friend of mine recently got "outed" at work because the gov't sent a letter to the business telling them their employee's gender on their social security doesn't match their gender on their work papers. I've heard of this happening but first time this happened to someone I know. Fucked up.That's why it's so important to make it as official as you can. The drivers license is not enough.

Not every state will LET you change your gender on your SS card unless you show proof of already having SRS. (New birth certificate)

Exactly the problem for the person I mentioned. CT is easier from what I've read. We'll see.Supposedly Lambda can help w/ that stuff, but I've to get this stuff started myself. And maybe SS info is always a problem.

From what I understand, in CA they will never change your medical records from M to F. Technically Jamie Lee Curtis is male (intersexed), having XY chromosomes. I wonder if her medical records indicate male as well.

Just wanted to continue this chain of quoting

yeah pretty much...plus I've noticed how CERTAIN people quote nearly everytime they post...which makes me want to ignore their post that much more...and usually they are quoting to bitch about something or argue with someone...damn kinda like I'm doing right now
