View Full Version : Tranny Awards 2010 : It's Coming and we need your help!

Ok folks, it's time to start working on The Tranny Awards 2010. Date and location (LA) to be announced but we're going to make some changes this year.

1. The winners will be announced at the show!
2. We will still do it party style but we'll have the whole night themed and dedicated more, with a dedicated MC just for the show.
3. There will be more fan participation in some of the voting categories to be more of a readers choice.

I don't want to get carried away with categories but here is what we have for now:

Best Website Model
This can be any model who has appeared on any website in a new shoot in 2010.
Best Performer in a DVD
DVD must have been released in 2010. Can be for an amount of quality scenes over that time or for one outstanding scene.
Best Non-TS Performer
Male or female appearing in a scene or scenes over 2010
Best DVD Release
Any DVD released during 2010
Best DVD Director
Must have directed a full DVD in 2010
Best Solo Tgirl Website
Website must be updating in 2010 and have been online for at least 6 months of this year, and featuring pre-dominantly one model.
Best Non-Paysite
This could be a blog, a forum (like this one!) or a resource site. This has taken over from the "Best Blog".

I've removed the Best Amateur site. http://www.deliats.com won last year and deservedly so ... but in retrospect, what is amateur about it? A great looking model and a great looking design - better than many "pro" sites. I would like to do category for the models that aren't as involved in pornsites, etc but I'm not sure how to categorize it or what the factors should be?

Other suggestions:

Best Ethnic Performer - this has been requested before but I have an issue on a) who is ethnic? b)Natassia Dreams won best model in 2008 ... if we had a Best Ethnic then would she be allowed to compete as Best Model?

Best Alternative TS Model - this also has the above problems - who is alt. and who isn't but would certainly open up a category to many fetish type models (maybe best Fetish model?) thoughts?

Best TS-on-TS Scene - a fan voted scene?

Miss Congeniality - probably renamed but the model who has the most presence and fan base through forums like this, blogs, etc. Fan voted ?

We also have a Lifetime Achievement Award which I choose personally, a Shemale Yum Best Model and a BlackTgirls Best Model which are member voted. I'm trying to get Bob's Tgirls, SMC, Strokers to do the same also. I'm open to any other sites who might be interested in being part of this.

So are there any other categories that we should add - or changes that should be made?
If you do want to be eligible for voting, you must have at least 50 votes and at least 6 months on this forum, or one of the other media sponsors, OR be known to the industry (ie; a model, photographer, website owner, affiliate, etc).

I'm looking forward to your feedback and participation. We will try and make the whole event better than last year, my whole idea was to grow this slowly and as our company personally puts over $15k into it, we'd be looking for other sponsors to help us grow. It also should be as inclusive as possible so ticket prices will be kept low also.

Best Ethnic Performer: A good performer is a good performer regardless of race, not sure we need this type of seperation whether ALT, White, Black, Asian ETC..........

Best TS on TS? Not needed because what about Best TOp, Best Bottom, Best Versitile etcc......not enough girls or the same group of girls doing it.

Best Cong. should be named FAN FAVORITE and have fans vote, would be nice to have the fans vote for their favorite overall.

Suggestions:
Maybe do some performance awards: (fan and panel)
Favorite Scene
Best Solo

Tara Emory, Zoe (can't remember her full name UK), I think Aly Sinclair falls in there, Juliette (model who done those great scenes with Mandy), Mallory's feet, etc. Bailey Jay would have been alt. in her first shoots but less so now.
This is the problem - what would fall into the category would it be alternative models as in the tatted and pierced - or would it be fetish type models like Jamie and Mandy?

Yeah, I think when most people think of alternative models, they automatically assume fetish type like Mandy and Jamie. Because a model can still have tattoos and piercing and still do "normal" porn.

It used to be that any girl with tatoos and piercings was considered alternative, but that stuff is so main stream now that I'm not sure you can really draw a line any more.

I think you'd be much better off going for best fetish model, which would open it up for girls that do stuff outside the norm.

I also think Best Cumshot could be a fun category.

I agree on the Best Ethnic Perfomer, you don't want to make that kind of seperation. How about the category of Best Up and Cummer (and yes spell it like that, because that spelling is classic).

Nothing against Cobra; I loved that place...but I hope the venue chosen has a LOT of space and parking.

And don't break down the performers by ethnicity; we don't need that.

Imo "alternative" is too subjective , it varies from person to person.
But when you use the term "fetish" that narrows it down alot.

This is ridiculous Bella - I start a post for something that people enjoy and want to be part of AND to see how others think it should be done and you have to continue to be the little worthless shit you always are by causing problems.
FYI - The Tranny Awards WAS my idea but I believe in getting as much feedback as possible. You are not part of it, so just get the fuck out out it.

YOU are responsible for that shoot and nobody else. Buddy shot you the same as he shot everyone else. I never had a problem with it (and still don't). Your whole gripe is over the fact, that you wanted to do more shoots with us and I just didn't want to - my business - my call. I don't see many other companies lining up to do reshoots with you, either. It's your personality, not your looks.
You were paid the same as any other model but if you are that unhappy with the sets, I'll gladly return them and the copyright of them, over to you - if you pay back your model fee to us.

Now fuck off out of this thread - open another one if you want to continue your paranoia induced rants.
