So,

I heard about this 52 week challenge and it goes like this:

The 1st week, you put away $1.
The 2nd week, you put away $2.
The 3rd week, you put away $3.
The 4th week, you put away $4.

So on and so forth.... And, on the 52nd week, you put away $52.

I believe they calculated it to be $1,378 saved at the end of the 52 weeks.

Each week, you are multiplying what you started with by the number of weeks you have saved.

However, this can be modified. $5 or $10 first week, $10 or $20 second week, $15 or $30 third week....... and, so on....... I chose to modify mine to my own personal interest.

I figured it can be a fun, self-challenge!

Nautica,

Thanks for this change of pace. It comes in handy, especially in these financially challenging times.

I have a similar plan but instead I spend the money on beer.

great idea, as benjamin franklin once said, a penny saved is a penny earned.

i only see one problem with this which is, easy at the beginning, hard at the end. First month you save 10 bucks, but the last month you gotta save 202. and i dunno you guys but i've had months when i've barely made ends meet, or got to make emergency expenses. Plan sounds fine and organized tho.

Great idea!!! Just be hard if you see that money just sitting there when it can be well spent.

away!!!! You could win the lotto or whatever by then! Maybe you'll get some big corporate job or start your own business! And, then begin this 52 Week Challenge with $100 a week, just for fun! :)

I know this site is about dick videos and all that stuff, but I'm about to link you to THE BEST VIDEOS YOU COULD EVERRRRR WATCH IN YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!! Yes, you will need to work on sinking this in, but it's true! I, myself, am working to recondition my mind. It takes practice and a lot of ridding of the fears that have been shoved in our heads. Start by staying away from your local news and keeping away from people who mention the economy!
