This must have been in Italy as they are speaking Italian. I've seen landslides before but only after the fact never one in progress. Looks like a large river flowing downhill. The lighter material must be limestone - not exactly the most stable of subsurface bedrock. It all must have been saturated with rainwater then gravity took over.
