The idea that a government facing the deficit of the last decade in the greatest recession in years should cut revenue, jack up military spending and finance tax cuts for the wealthy is just so insane it blows my mind. In a two party system you need both parties at the top of their game, so when one of them takes complete fucking leave of their senses on every single policy and cultural issue it is really pretty terrifying. The next few years are gonna suck.
