a common oral regimen is to take both spironolactone (aldactone) which attaches to the male hormone receptors
on cells and thus prevents uptake by the body of testosterone AND premarin. to take premarin alone will activate some of the feminine attributes (breasts) but will
not prevent the continued growth of body hair. taking the
spiro as well means that you will keep whatever body hair you have so far, but it won't continue to get more dense.

at least that's my understanding of the chemistry at this point
