Personally, I believe that anything is possible, but probability is something else. Still, the single bullet theory has rarely sat well with anyone who has a half a brain in their head. (No pun intended.)

Anyway, true or not-so-true, conspiracy theories are always at least food for thought if they can't be disproven. And I think it's safe to say that the evening news leaves out a few details regarding "what happened" in the world over a 24 hr period.

So what are some of your faves? Illuminati? 9/11 was an inside job? The Federal Reserve enslaving the US? Reptilian shapeshifters? FEMA concentration camps? MK Ultra?

Here's one that a friend of mine in FL just emailed me. He LOVES-yet-cringes-at such things, but always finds new ones to get worked up over. And when they're a little overboard, I ask him how much pot he's been smoking that day. So what can I believe here? Was Dubya really living in some shithole in Brownsville? Was he a satanic cult member? Aside from what's been going on in the Middle East, is he a mass murderer?

I have a question for you sharp folks. Is it me, or is the US industrial complex essentially using our military as mercenaries at a cost to the taxpayers? If we went in based on WoMD that we never found, shouldn't we just walk out? What are going to be? Iraq and Afghanistan security guards forever? We can't make Iraq a sane and safe place at this point, can we? The longer we stay, aren't we just begging the Islamic extremists to sign up with the warlords and try to kick our asses? It seems like we just want to keep martial law going wherever we try to score more oil for ourselves.

Speaking of which, why the hell did Obama send SWAT teams out to all the oil rigs in the Gulf? Are they still there? And if so, what the hell are they accomplishing?

My personal favorite is the array of tunnels that radiate from area 51, I saw an article on it once, with a full list of the tunnels & their portals. I can't find it now, but then again, I haven't looked all that hard. The one that caught my eye was the portal that was supposed to terminate at the rest stop just north of the Pinewood exit on the Mogollon rim, on I 17, south of Flagstaff AZ. I was on the crew that built that rest stop back in 1973. It's up over 6000 ft, & solid granite for miles & miles. The whole place is volcanic, & in order to tunnell all the way to Nevada, you'd have to go under the Grand Canyon. There were other tunnels that were supposed to be portaling out east of the Continental Divide. Having worked a couple of different tunnels, & understanding what it takes to drive one, I found it all quite amusing. But I'm sure there's somebody that buys into the existence of all this.

My fav is the theory that if people just dismantled their government, especially those arms that regulate corporations, land, water and mineral use and left private enterprises to regulate themselves, we would have heaven on Earth. The competing forces would seek a happy equilibrium and anyone with no more gumption than the size of a mustard seed could be a multi-billionaire.

I had my own conspiracy theory about Kurt Cobain. Everyone said that Courtney Love drove him to shoot himself, I, too believed that for awhile, but then I thought who got the best deal out of Cobain's death? My answer: Dave Grohl. Now, I don't really think anything serious about this theory but if you think about it, if Nirvana had stayed together, Grohl may not have EVER started Foo Fighters! That's just my two cents.
