I've seen her logged on a few times, and I agree it is rare. It's something like the wrappers for those Tootsie Roll Pops (I wonder if they still make those), if anyone remembers those. They had pictures of all sorts of things on them, I have no idea now what the other things were, and there was always a random selection, but every once in awhile you'd get one with a picture of an indian (native american, I suppose) pointing his bow at a star.

One of my sisters and I had heard, what I suppose now is an urban legend, that if you got a wrapper with that guy on it, you could turn it in to any store for a free sucker. The ladies at our local grocery either believed us or just found the idea cute, because they always gave us a free sucker when we got one of those rare wrappers.

Oh, and I got a Susan B Anthony dollar as change the other day, which is rare as well.

What the hell am I rambling about? I just got out of bed, I don't know.

First up, I am honoured and humbled that I should the subject of a thread ;-)

Yes, my postings to Hung Angels are these days few and far between although I do log in fairly regularly and as Vicki would put it, "lurk".

I now only choose to post to topics that are either directly related to me or that are on a subject that I consider as impactful.
My reason for this choice is because I came to find that my posts were not being received as an experienced viewpoint and that responses were not the subject of debate but rather personal attacks or suggestions (and sometimes downright full-on claims) of being motivated by rivalry or jealousy(??) with my peers.

Or to put it more bluntly, I got fed-up of being shat upon for telling it straight.

If I were to feel that my posts to Hung Angels board were to be received as a valid and worthwhile contributions rather than just as an opportunity for petty personal responses or to incite conflict with my peers, then I would gladly become more involved.

Nevermind the idiots, Joanna. Some of us will always find your posts valid and worthwhile and insightful and intelligent. I don't blame you for getting fed-up with the attitude some HA members put out there, but I for one welcome your contributions. Like she said, Joanna apparently hasn't given up on these boards, she's just not posting for lack of a good post to respond to, at least recently.

This is a cool place. As Megabody pointed out awhile ago, we are, beyond the crazy "weirdo fan/fanatics" that appear on occasion, a small sub sect removed from the mainstream to a certain extent, at least regarding the majority of peoples views regarding transexualism.

And we're not stupid.

The jabbing and fighting is fun sometimes, but the fact that most of us aren't idiots, seems to make the effort towards smart dialog worthwhile. And as bitchy as it gets sometimes, there's been lots of great dialog that I've seen on these boards.
