I would like to poll how many people in here still consider GBLT as a mental problem.

I'm keeping the poll anonymous - to protect the "innocent".

This is a question out of curiosity. I'm not implying anything, so no need to be angry.

That's a BLT on a grinder. Sorry I meant GLBT.

To be honest, I haven't decided. Note that none of the selection is italicized.

If the result of self-assessment didn't turn out so good, imagine how the non-"enlightened" general public would think.

So we now know that 2/3 of the men on this forum consider themselves to be mentally ill. lol

Repeat after me, gentlemen. "I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And, gosh darn it, people like me...

... even though I like to look at she-cocks." lol

Its not a mental PROBLEM. It something that people are born with though. So I will abstain from this poll.

I think something needs to be looked at if it is hereditary or not. There are a lot of familys where two siblings are both gay or one is trans and one is gay... its seems like a pretty common thing.

One of my best friends is one of three (count 'em, 3!) post op M2F TS in her family. 3 tranny siblings! Coincidence? I think NOT! lol

I'm bored, so I'm bumping up old polls in case you missed it.

The most important issue is that if it defined as an illness, then medical providers ore obligated to provide treatment. Especially important are government programs like medicaid. The prevailing medical view, is that, giving such things as hormones, for the sex the person believes themselves to be, is treatment for gender dysphoria.

This is not the view of many people, often citing religion. But it seems that a large important part of the medical community views, it humane to provide, transistional tools for transgendered persons.

So without the definition of "illness", transgendered people would be then defined, seek treatment only for cosmetic purposes. Less of the proceedures would be considered nescessary, from my view. I also include mental health services, which are nescessary for many to get treatments apporved.

No. Absolutely not. Transphobia is a mental problem, homophobia is a mental problem....

Being sarcastic, beating around the bush about your opinions, and not upfront about your feelings is a mental issue.
