It's Brazil's answer to the Macarena — scantily-clad women forcefully smacking their buttocks into the faces of men sitting on the floor.
The bizarre new dance craze, invented by the Sao Paulo group Tequileiras Do Funk, is taking the web by storm after several videos were posted on YouTube.
"It started as a funny thing," Tequileiras Do Funk DJ Alex Gaspar told ninemsn.
"It was something over-the-top, something too sensual to normally do in public," he said.
The group consists of Mr Gaspar and several bikini dancers, and they travel around Brazil performing at nightclubs and house parties.
During their show they call up men from the audience to be subjected to the dance — which they appropriately call the Surra de Bunda, meaning "Butt Beat".
"It's become the central focus of our shows," Mr Gaspar said.
"We do it two or three times during the show with different guys."
Although it was first performed about a year and a half ago, it has only recently begun to gather steam — with other dancers posting their own versions of the routine on YouTube, and some clips being aired on Brazilian TV stations.
"It's our dance, invented by us ... some people are copying it now but it's originally from us," Mr Gaspar said.

"I don't understand how that is supposed to be something fun ... just looks nasty to me," wrote one commentator.
The band's music falls into the genre of baile funk, which has become popular in recent years after it was adopted by international acts such as MIA.
The lyrics and dancing at shows featuring the music in Brazil have come under fire in the past for their sexually explicit and misogynistic content.
Although Mr Gaspar said the international attention is interesting, he said he has no current plans to take the band overseas.
"If someone invites us, we'll consider it," he said.

One lucky guy, now when is this dance making its way into the states?
