I am now slowly leaving the darkside and converting to Android......
I still love my macbook pro but that aside almost everything I jailbroke my iphone to get comes available from the android market free or relatively cheap.....

Not to mention 2.2 being seriously faster than anything I've used on a phone before...........

a few apps that are must haves for other android users
JuiceDefender
Ecocharge
Applock
Dolphin HD (best android browser hands down)
LiveChat: imagine HA chat on your android phone anywhere at anytime, yeah that's hot
Vringo: like Mivtones, video ringtones except MUCH MUCH easier
and of course..........................
Google Voice: how every escort out there does not have this and use it as their provider # is beyond me.........

I'm getting the evo hopefully monday. I've been an avid droid fan since it's inception. I'm working on doing an app for it, just haven't found the time.

I want to be ablet o take photos/video, pick up my emails on the move etc ...and maybe use stuff like gps and finders ...

If you like simple, Iphone is adequate. I prefer android because I'm a techie/developer and I like "open" platforms for the most part (even though some carriers are somewhat restrictive with their phones.

just got the evo, i was trying it out but im keeping it. Tmobile 3g speeds are way too slow and this phone is eveything its cracked up to be and more. I have tried other android phones but this one takes the cake, + a good priced plan, its a winner.

ummmmmmmmmmm I don't know where you reside but Tmobile's 3G outperforms Sprint's lie of 4G.

While we're at it, I'm tired of Sprint using the 4G marketing gimmick, folks really think they are getting 100mbps on their Sprint phones, fuck outta here

That aside, the Evo is a helluva phone, by December Android's market will probably surpass the Appstore, game over for Apple

I'm still rollin' w/ a jailbroken iPhone 3G and was seriously wanting to jump on the EVO 4G or Droid Incredible bandwagon...especially living in Chicago (Sprint network on the north side is the best I have used). Unfortunately, reception sux in my condo w/ everyone but AT&T. I might have to stay w/ AT&T and grab the iPhone 4 at this rate but im loving the android options

Libby, if you wanna check out android, check out the tmobile pulse mini. It's only £100 pay as you go, the screens terrible, and the processor is slow, but it has android 2.1 on it, phot/video/wifi/gps. You can get it from argos.

If you like it, the HTC Desire blows the iphone off the planet

Miami. If you're in NYC t mobile has good service there, because have seen it but elsewhere they are not as great, same reason they are the last of the 4 big cell companies. 4g i'm not sure about as i don't have it yet but i'll see when we get it.
