How is everyone taking in the transition...................no not THAT kind of transition. I mean the moving from the old format bulletin board/forums to the new format.

Is the ignore feature helping?
Is anyone appreciative of the absence of malicious forum mongers?
Are you all comfortable with chatting or do you need me to set something up?

Let me know, either privately or in this thread (I'd prefer this thread, if you all knew they amount of pvt msgs I get now with this new format you'd shake your own heads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

p.s. Happy Mothers Day bitches

HA has calmed down alot since the move.

I used the ignore feature once but since nobody annoys me i haven't used it since.

I wish avatar pics were a bit bigger but that's it , everything else is gravy.

Having let the dust settle, I think the new set up blows. And I'm generally in favour of change :)
There seems to be much less activity on it.

I like it less bs and more useful info and less petty bickering

Just wish the "date" the original thread was posted . It's helpful to know if a thread originated in 2007 or 2010

the setup is great, it's the loss of people that sucks

You need to look at the top of the post (see pic). Love the new avatar JWBL

Loving the ignore feature. I believe it has completely changed the enviorment on this board. For the better.

There's an ignore feature now. Super.

As far as the overall feel and function of the new board I'd say it was an improvement. Well worth loosing some of the continuity with the old boards (you know certain threads that just didn't translate or having a couple hundred unread messages.)

bigger avatars. 200 x 200 is good.
enable signature pics. just put a size restriction on that to keep it from getting out of hand.
HA sponsored, all expenses paid vacations to either brasil or thailand.

Personally, i could never see myself using the 'ignore' feature...I think it's childish. :shrug

Is anyone appreciative of the absence of malicious forum mongers?

Meh....One does feel slightly underdressed without ones' flak jacket!

I like the avatars the size they are - Give people an oppotunity, they will take the piss.
Same goes for 'sig pix'...Don't see the need (isn't that what the spam forum's for)?
I liked the thumbnails in threads (maybe a bit larger would have been nice). It made it quick and easy to skim thru a thread.

Overall, i quite like the changes :D, loads faster and no blank pages.
Though i do miss the pink (you knew where you were!) :shrug

Love it. Great job. I never use the ignore feature; if I were to do so, I wouldn't be in a very good position to judge the interaction on the forums, tell whether they really improved or not, or hear any ideas different from my own. I think it's a shame the button enables those who wish to remain ignorant.

I like it. Easy navigation, low eyestrain, more options, etc... Coloration too. It's amazing how different colors can affect moods & even physical strength. This scheme is relaxing.

I haven't used the ignore button, but there were 1 or 2 on the old board that made me wish it had been there. Sooner or later, there'll be somebody show up with absolutely nothing to say, & who just floods the boards with inane insults or spam. It's a good individual interim fix to keep one's sanity until management can get around to dealing with the problem, if it really is one.

I like the new format but it seems interaction between the long time members has dropped off.

We need a chat link as well.

Yes this is sooo much more mellow overall than the old boards.

The look and feel is something that,.. it's almost safe for work. That's how I would describe it.

Looks way better, though the pink is still somewhat burnt into my retinas. Ignore feature is pretty handy, slowly adding all the numbnuts to my list. Nothing much to complain about, really... oh, and it's quick and error-free!

Not too shabby. But the forum members should at least have the option of a pink background.

How about dark skies and the molding, decaying entrails of unicorns thrown about a mess of broken bones and soaked in the blood of the innocent?

Even in fantasy worlds I am sure they have glue factories & slaughterhouses.

Blue skies, nothing but blue skies..............

Nothing at all? Like the calm that hangs over a wasteland after a world ending apocalypse? One of those situations where people focus on the blue sky above because they don't want to see the horrors that await them back in reality down below?
