Not what I had in mind but whatever.......
You know there are other girls working in the high fashion world of modeling
and are not be represented as "TRANSEXUALS" but regular supermodels.
I would think that would be the way to go.
This person is being objectified and marketed solely because of their transgendered status for some odd reason.....I dont get it and I dont think its cool.
But whatevs.

I get what you are saying, but on some level everyone who helps others make money is somewhat exploited. They are using beautiful people to make their clothes look good. Or adorable kids to attract television viewers, etc. The 'beautiful supermodels' you mentioned, are probably in the closet, living in fear their careers are going to be ruined, and they are not really advancing the public percerption of transexual as women. The ones who reveal they are, are usually long out fo the spotlight, thus the news does not not reach as many people. Heres a former model, who career was ended once her secret was discovered.

So this thread topic is good news, compared to the old days. I bet many people on this forum know of successful trans people, but they cannot tell it, because it will hurt their careers.

Yes I know about Tracy Africa and look what happened to her...once they found out she was a transexual her career was finished.
There is another girl who regularly works as a high fashion model in Europe but I wont give her name.
She is not promoted as a transexual.....and she works for a VERY prominent designer in NYC.
Your post although well intentioned shows your naive about how things are.

Well, you said that you did not think it was cool, that the ts status of the model was told. But I say that it is an advancement over having to hide. If it doesn't feel right to you, that's ok. I'm simply pointing out another side.
