Because Lenda participated in very few contests (mostly just the Olympias), she could cycle her gear up and down. Also, she didn't have to stay semi-ripped year round, hence could let herself smooth out and somewhat feminize.
You should SEE some of the upper echelon female powerlifters in the higher weight calibers. They're benching up in the 5s now and one of them is almost squatting 8!! There are limitations as to what surgery can and cannot do. Usually if you already have a feminine face you'll have exceptional results. Typically if you look masculine before you'll still look masculine after. Maybe with high eyebrows or female nose, but you'll still look clockable. Surgery is magical.
