Welp, I did it. After 4 years of saving up the cash to make it happen, I've finally put my debut album together.

I'd like to thank Steven for giving me a head start in the business, Rvince for showing me how to sustain a successful career working at the Internet and of course all of the fans who were kind enough to chuck some bread my way every once in a while so's I could buy all the fancy guitars, keyboards, monitors, software, etc that helped my songs see the light of day.

About the album: It's called, "Totally Not Completely Unfake" and it's made up of 21 tracks all of which are available for free to download - A tangible version of the album will be made available very soon for very cheap - more about that when I get the shipment back from the factory. Anywho, the music is basically pop/rock that is somewhat divorced from youth culture - in other words; it's weird.

If Billy Joel & Joan Jett had a kid and that kid grew up to write really amazing songs, and then I came by and did really crappy cover versions of those songs - that's what it's like. Also, They Might Be Giants.

You can hear everything in real time and read the lyrics and junk here. (http://jamesfrenchmusic.com) You can also check the individual songs out below... most are around 5megs as I encoded all the mp3s at the highest bit rate possible (320 kbps)

Here's the run down...

1. "She Doesn't Like Boys" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/01%20She%20Doesnt%20Like%20Boys.mp3) - A song for all my fellow freaks.
2. "On My Way To The Store" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/02%20On%20My%20Way%20To%20The%20Store.mp3) - Probably the best track on the album.
3. "Chatsworth" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/03%20Chatsworth.mp3) - A song about former porn actress, Megan Murray. Also me.
4. "Some Assembly Is Required" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/04%20Some%20Assembly%20Is%20Required.mp3) - A boy and his robot take on the world.
5. "That One Time Upstairs" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/05%20That%20One%20Time%20Upstairs.mp3) - Dumb love song.

10. "The Lawn Of The World" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/10%20The%20Lawn%20Of%20The%20World.mp3) - Like astronomy? So does the guy in this song.

13. "Romero's Head" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/13%20Romeros%20Head.mp3) - Zombies. Lots of zombies.
14. "Drag You" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/14%20Drag%20You.mp3) - The guy in this song wants to end your shit. With knives and guns.
15. "Journey To The Center Of 1982" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/15%20Journey%20To%20The%20Center%20Of%201982.mp3) - No friggin' clue.
16. "Bike" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/16%20Bike.mp3) Were you ever 12? Own a bike? Break your face by mixing the two?
17. "megan17nicole" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/17%20megan17nicole.mp3) - Lame love song.
18. "Big Oil" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/18%20Big%20Oil.mp3) - Dinosaurs.

20. "Nice Place To Be" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/20%20Nice%20Place%20To%20Be.mp3) - Loosely based on the novel, "Bid Time Return".
21. "Twenty One" (http://skullcandymedia.com/music/21%20Twenty%20One.mp3) - A song from the bartenders perspective.

Let me know what ya'll think.

I'm gonna go back to getting naked and poked and junk. J.

And I don't know the novel you refer to here, "Bid Time Return" - is it worth a read then?

I read it in one sitting - was so mad at how good and sad the ending was that I threw the book across the room and immediately wrote the song... the book was made into a movie around 1981/82 I believe, called, "Somewhere In Time" - had Christopher Reeve in it. (Good movie too)
