I've seen this trick before. But I think this is more for CD's and DQ's, and not TS's. It's good for someone who plans on wearing a wig, and is not considering FF surgery or keeping their brows shaped.

NOT REALLY true,I use to work in the print/film industry and we would do every thing we can to build the images up of are star.
that includes tape ,glue , prosthetics, doubles and so on

Make Up For Ever, has created “Smoky Eye”, an intense and contrasted eye makeover perfectly adapted to one of the new Star Powder colors: black with gold reflections.
HOW TO RECREATE “SMOKY EYE”
1. Use the Brush 8S to apply Eye Shadow #101 white over the whole upper lid.
2. Sweep some of the new Star Powder #950 black gold across the whole mobile lid to give eyes added intensity.
3. Accentuate the socket line of the upper lid with Eye Shadow #10 yellow gold and blend the 2 eye shadows upwards with the Sponge Applicator.
7. End by coating lashes with Lengthening Mascara #0 black and recoloring the tips.
6. Lightly smudge the contour of the lower lid to get the "smoky" look by doubling the pencil line with a line of Star Powder #950 and Eye Shadow #10, blended outwards into the outer corner of the eye.
5. Underline the inner rim of the lower lash-line with Kohl Pencil black.

SHADOW AND CONTOURING

OPTIMIZE CONTRASTS OF LIGHT & SHADOW ON ALL FACE SHAPES

http://www.makeupforever.com/conseils_03_02_en.html

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_05.jpg
http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_01.gif

Considered to be the ideal shape because it's perfectly balanced in form, this is the face shape we try to reproduce by modifying the volumes with a subtle contrast of light and shadow. Apply a skin-colored line with the Compact Modeler under the eye. Then, use the dark shade to form a triangle on the cheeks pointing towards the bottom of the cheekbones.

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_06.jpg

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_02.gif
The contrast between light and shadow is used to draw horizontal lines across the face.
Apply a small amount of the light shade of Compact Modeler on the middle of the forehead and under the eye in a horizontal line. Form a square with the dark shade on the cheek and trace a line from the chin to the jaws

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_03.gif

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_07.jpg
Shadows should be mainly applied to the hollow of the cheeks to make them look longer.
Apply the light shade of Compact Modeler on the upper part of the cheekbones and in the middle of the forehead. Sculpt the hollow of the cheeks with the darker shade from the temples to below the cheekbones. Shade the jawline with a horizontal line to make the bottom part of the face look longer and thinner.

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_04.gif

http://www.makeupforever.com/images/conseils_03_02_08.jpg
Emphasize the top half of the face to minimize the jawline:
Apply the light shade of Compact Modeler on the upper part of the cheekbones and in the middle of the forehead. Shade the temples, cheekbones and jawbones with the darker shade. Applied along the hairline and jawline, the darker shade of the Compact Modeler makes the face look softer and rounder.

POWDER BRUSH LARGE #12L

A large filbert-cut brush designed for powder application. This brush will lightly apply the Professional Powder mixture without caking foundation.

Usage: Dip the brush into the powder mixture and tap off excess by tapping the handle on a hard surface to properly load the brush. This allows the brush to do the work of distributing the powder. Divide the face into thirds and starting at the forehead, very lightly dust the entire face with approximately four strokes working down to the chin.

Powder Brush Large #12L Product #28036 $45.00

BLENDER BLUSHER LARGE #22L
A smaller version of the powder brush with more firmness to deposit more color and to better blend contours and blushers.

Usage: "Load" brush with a small amount of Finishing Powder. Start at the forehead and press onto face, moving the tip in a circular or swirling motion. Cover the entire face - all make-up should be blended and look natural when complete.

Blender Blusher Large #22L Product #28020 $36.00

CONTOUR BRUSH #22C

An angled brush with the perfect firmness for achieving proper blusher placement.

Usage: Place the shortest edge of the brush under the cheekbone and point tip toward eye. Use a patting motion to apply color; do not drag the brush across the cheekbone. Move to the other cheekbone - begin at the same place and repeat application. The texture of the brush hair will give the perfect color application to each cheekbone.

Contour Blusher #22C Product #28028 $39.00

BEVELED SHADOW BLENDER LARGE #44L
A larger filbert cut brush with perfect texture to blend down edges and soften overall eye application.

Usage: "Load" only one side of brush, not the tip. Sweep across entire eye with a light color made for blending.

Model's Hint: Christi Harris Banana for blending eye shadow down, and Bone for all over base color.

Shadow Blender Large #44L Product #28016 $23.00

BEVELED SHADOW BLENDER SMALL #44S

Usage: Load one side of the brush with color and pat to highlight the lid.

Shadow Blender Small #44S Product #28012 $20.00

A sable brush designed for expert application of lip color. It is a small, firm brush that, when lightly stroked across the product, accepts the correct amount of product to give an even application.

To Load Brush: Stroke brush lightly across product and apply to the designated area.

Sable Lip Definer #15 Product #28040 $22.00

BROW/LASH GROOMER #16

A dual-sided brush with both bristles and a lash comb. The bristles of the brush are quite firm and are cut unevenly to assure a natural look for the brow. The lash comb is used to separate lashes.

Usage: After brow color is applied, use the bristles to lift and push brows into place. If brows are full, use to brush to desired placement with feathery strokes. After coloring a bald area with the color, push on brow with the brush side to achieve a hair-like texture. Use the lash comb to gently separate lashes

Usage: Load brush with powdered brow color. To correctly apply color, line brush horizontally at start of brow, with the point of the brush toward the nose. Drag brush up to the arch of the brow, then turn brush to the pointed tip to complete the brow.

Angle Brow #47 Product #28001 $13.00

ANGLE SHADOW SHAPER #99
An angled sable brush designed to apply contour colors to the eye area that will correctly shape and provide a lifted look.

Usage: Hold the point of the angle toward the nose. Begin at the crease of the eye above the pupil; apply color with feathery strokes to outer edge of eye. Then turn brush point up and stroke color down to eyelashes to form an angle. Blend edges with short, feathery strokes.

"For Your Eyes Only"

Welcome to Christi Harris Professional Make-up Products
Collection III

Christi Harris does not believe in new colors for each new season. The only way a perfect eye shape can be created is if it is contoured and highlighted correctly. When steps 1-13 are completed an accent color can be added directly above the lash at the center of the lid to show some contrast of color. The color suggested in model's hint are the perfect colors to contour and highlight.

Step 1

Eye Perma Stay

Essential for highlighting and to form a base to contour the eye. The eyelid has to be neutralized to see the full effect of the highlighting and shaping. This product is a base for all eye shadows, keeps the shadows from creasing, holds shadow color true, and is a physical sun block for eye lids. Diminishes and smoothes out fine lines on the eyelid.

Directions:
Apply all over the upper eye lid with a #66, Corrective Contour Brush.
Pat and blend into a powder with the middle finger.

Eye Perma Stay Product #26120 1/8 oz - $19.50

Corrective Contour Brush #66 Product #28066 $29.00

Step 2

Eyebrow Shape

Eye Color

Balance is the key attribute well-shaped eyebrows can give your face. They are the guidelines to perfect make-up placement and you must make sure their shape is right before you begin any other shaping, contouring or corrections with make-up.
To plan the perfect eyebrow, study the architecture of your face. Each brow should follow the natural curve of the eye, the lid, and the line of the nose. Brows should arch over iris. This opens eye and makes the eye appear larger.

The #47, angle brow brush, is cut at an angle for natural application of brow color. The brush is designed to form the perfect measurement for the perfect brow.

Directions:
"Load" #47, Brow Brush with brow eye shadow color.
Place brush horizontally at start of brow with brush point toward the nose.
Press brush to brow for powder pay off, (application).
Reload brush with color. Apply at a new spot.
Point tip of brush toward nose and stroke brush up toward arch or tip of brow.
Reload brush with color.
Use tip of brush and apply color to the remaining 1/2 of the brow making a fine line.

Model's Hint: CH Light Brown is the most commonly used color.

Eye Shadow Color (Concentrated) 35 Colors Available .07 oz - $17.00
See Order Form for Color Choices & Product Numbers.

Angle Brow Brush #47 Product #28001 $13.00

Step 3

Brow Brush
Groomer

The chiseled, bristle cut of Brush #16 allows Step 2 to be blended properly to give a natural appearance to the brow. Place the bristles on brow color and lightly push and jiggle, don't stroke.

Directions:
Using the #16 Brow Brush Groomer, place the bristle on the brow horizontally.
Lightly push and jiggle to blend brow color.
Do not stroke.
Great to separate lashes.

Brow Lash Groomer Product #28024 $15.00

Step 4

Eyebrow Sealer

This product is used to keep the brow placement and color set all day. Great for swimming. Gives the brow a shine and is great when filling in bald areas.

Directions:
Apply with brush.
Completely cover the entire brow.
Pat the brow with ring finger after application.

Eyebrow Sealer Product #26115 ½ oz - $18.00

For the longest time I thought my long time hairdresser friend was the only one who knew the technique that an asian lady had tought him in his class, 10 yrs ago (thats where I heard it was an ancient chinese secret) He's the only one in his class that decided to learn the technique. I see it getting more and more popular. Its not something they mandatorily teach you in cosmetology. Everyone I know who has been threaded, perfers that rather than waxing.
