I'm in Ozone Park, quiet place. I normally hang out in Astoria though.

investment wise, the areas that will show the most price increases over the next couple of years are Corona, Elmhurst, and Jackson Hts/Woodside.

Astoria, Long Island City and Forrest Hills are close to Manhattan values.
Great places to live but they're already insanely expensive
