OK, you guys get to ask me questions in my Ask Bella thread. Now it's my turn: I'm bored and I want to dye my hair. I want to go chestnut brown and might add blonde streaks or highlights later but my son wants me to stay blonde because he likes it better (and his other mom has always been the dark haired one).

I want to go darker - at least for the winter. Who's right? Me or him? Should I darken my hair color?

Kids hate change. I remember crying and yelling at my mom for cutting her hair short when I was a kid. I feel like a bastard now but at the time I remember really being pissed at her and felt totally betrayed. So I would say do what makes you happy but anticipate a negative response.

Hmmm maybe auburn.

I could go auburn now I guess. It was my ex's color for years but I don't even think she bothers to dye her hair anymore at all so it's all good. I'll add it to my list of colors under consideration.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up with the chestnut brown/blonde combo though, but don't quote me. If I do it at all it'll probably be tomorrow and I'll be sure to get pics. :)

I don't think it'll be too bad in my case because dye fades in my hair pretty easily although I guess should probably try a semi-perm color first. Yeah, I think I'll do that.

Try the darker look and see how it goes. Looks like you have fair skin but darker eyes so you could probably pull either off. If you don't like it you can always change it.

I finally did it! After 4 years, I'm no longer blonde (still light though). :P

Here are a couple of self-pics. Please ignore the fact that I'm not wearing any makeup! I'll take some pro photos soon to show off my new darkness (so to speak). lol

So what do you guys think?

Why thank you. You know I value your opinion more than most. Are you going to be at the Oxwood Saturday? I need new shots. :P

It's a sort of mousy medium brown. Blah. :P

OK, so that color was too light and red and not what I was looking for, so I dyed my hair again. I think I found my long-term color this time. What do you think?

Oh, and the headband was a gift from my aunt. It's made of the hair of my beautiful husky that I gave her - the one from my chest tattoo. :) I miss her!
