Took Victoria to see it. She was literally on the edge of her seat the whole movie. We BOTH enjoyed it!

The special effects were awesome. But that alone doesnt make a movie. If at all, watch in the cinema, but dont waste time with it on the TV.

That is what the director is known for just like Micheal Bay. You just go and enjoy this movie. This is just a bubblegum movie made to entertain =)

A friend of mine seriously thinks the world is gonna end in 2012. She wanted to bet on it, $50. I explained to her that if the world really ends in 20120 there's no way I could pay her, so I win either way.

That's why I think the movie is for dumbasses

Hollywood discovered conspiracy theorists as a new profitable market. There are really many fucktards that think the world is gonna end in 2012. This insult for the cinematography aka "2012" is actually a movie you expect from the worst (German) director Roland Emmerich. All his movies are the same except Universal Soldier and Moon 44.

I actually turned this into something good. I told my friends that believe in the theory, will if the world is going to end on 12/21/2012, I ain't going to get you a christmas present that year. So when christmas day comes and they cry about not having a present, I say "your present was that the world didn't end. Merry christmas!!!"

it's a special effects movie and i really didn't get the grasp
and setup of the earthcrust destruction in 2012 as i did in comparison
to other disaster-related films like Day after Tomorrow, Dante's Peak.
the volcano scenes were somewhat cartoonish and fake-ish but the
earthquakes/ fault-breaks and tsaumi tidal waves created enjoyable,
edgy scenes. It's a good popcorn movie.
