There is a Policeman driving me around at work at the moment and we went into the break room for a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea and guess what was playing on the telly? Magnum force! :D

I think clint is an inspiration to coppers everywhere, how justice should really be! And looking throught their DVD collection I also saw 'judge dredd', 'bit of a theme here I said to them' :D

My favourtite TV Policeman is 'inspector Burnside' from 'the bill' uklads of a certain age will know who that is.

I always pulled for Mackey no matter what kind of fucked up shit he would do. His enemies were my enemies. The season with Forrest Whitaker was one of the most powerful in the history of TV. Loved it when Mackey looked him dead in the eye and told him, "Your wife's pussy tastes like sweet buttah."

Bad Lieutenant ... anybody.

Yes! Good call...Keitel was definitive

Clint Eastwood in the movie "Unforgiving"

Unforgiven...one of my favorite movies of all time...if I may pick a small nit here, altho he did go after the bad guys, technically, he was a rancher, not a cop

JUST THE FACTS ma'am

aahhh, Sgt. Friday...wasn't he the cop who closed the case on the copped copper clappers from Cleveland caper?

John Munsch, Homicide

...Yaphet Koto, Ned Beatty...the entire cast was excellent
...esp liked Melissa Leo as Sgt Kay Howard
...and speaking of Lady Cops...

Gillian Anderson as Special Agent Dana Scully on X-Files.
Scully's gotta be number one, right up there with Rosie O'Donnell in Exit to Eden

Great film that sadly lost its way about two thirds in (perhaps, a victim of focus groups) Still, a fantastic characterisation of a 'sleazy' cop, if there ever was such a ting.
