Anyone else noticed the over abundance of British actors in lead roles on U.S. television. Not that I have anything against it, but are producers in Hollywood that nervous about hiring U.S. actors to draw in viewers???

Maybe american actors can find work in England ? Gillian Anderson might join the cast of Doctor Who.

Joan Collins was on " Footballers Wives ".

Actors in England actually learn to ACT, not just look good. Some, if not most, have classical stage training. They also don't feel entitled to "Celebrity", as do American actors do.

US actors have priced themselves out of the market- thats why. What i'd like to see is a british actor use their native accent in a US show. Gillian Anderson was in Bleak house over here recently (as Lady Deadlock) and she lives in London.

It was pathetic to see Russell Crowe trying to portray a veteran Newark police detective in American Gangster with his strange, fake American accent.
He's either too lazy or too untalented to nail down the authentic New York lingo.

So why is he considered so talented ?
