that was probably the best post i have read here in a while from a transsexual woman's perspective and i do not think anyone could have said it any better.

it is so much easier to pick apart someone then to look in the mirror and say this is what is wrong with me- but that is what the media does and magzines, and our culture right? people in the public eye get picked at and taken apart all the time- we all have done it.

what is really fascinating to me- is when guys on this board will pick girls apart- oh this is to this, shes a beast, she is that. yes there are unattractive transsexuals, just like there are unattractive men, women, etc. and no one is going to consider everyone beautiful. since when did becoming a transsexual gaurantee beauty? if you are not born with a good basis- you have to work very, very hard to get it-and that never goes into consideration here.

it is easy for a lot of men to pick us apart because we are mere sexual objects to them. they do not know us-and an image on the screen or tv is the closest most of these men will get to see most of these girls. if the shoe was on the other foot-and we ladies got to pick them apart- their looks, etc, i am sure some of the posters who do so would feel different.
like mystique said- i bet you most of the guys who pick the girls apart- the girls themselves would not even give them the time of day.

i think that comes from the "macho" ego and a "macho" view of women.
i too agree with mystique in when she says that when a guy wants a younger girl- it is to indeed try to control her and mold her into what HE wants.

u know - during different stages of my transformation- i have known men who did not give me the time of day back then and now want to fuck me-
i know girls who used to call me a brick back then and now compliment me. it takes a long time to get to a certain point of beauty and self attractiveness.

Who is anyone to to tell a girl- don't get implants, dont' get this. don't get that? The only time I have given that kind of advice to someone is when they asked for it and I gave my honest opinion. uNFORTUNATELY, i AM SO SURGICALLY in tune with everyone's appearance- that I say when I see someone- oh she might look better with this and this- and often comment about it to a close friend, but I do not being it out to the person for the sake of being mean. Still, each of us has to become the ideal of beauty that we see for ourselves. People actually had the nerve to tell me when I was younger that I did not need a nose job! Meanwhile, I had a nose like a witch!!! Now some people say my nose is too done- well who gives a flying fuck? The thousands I have invested into it have been from my hard work and my desire for it to be changed. Nothing annoys me more- then why did dhe have to go and have this done? Unless it's bad surgery - then I feel really bad because I know what it is like to have a doctoe botch u up and you have to live with the results for months until it's fixed.

I am really sick of guys putting girls down because they are in the porn industry, because they are escorts, because of whatever reason. Cause guess what? I have to wake up with myself every morning, and face me-
a man might be there or he might not be- but at the end , if I am comfortable and accept my choices in life-

This thread reminds me a lot of the old saying that you should be nice to the people you meet on your way up the ladder of success, because you will meet them again on your way down. The plain or part time girl you diss or dismiss now may be the hot girl who remembers and rejects you later. And the hot girl who may be too cool for you now, may be hot for you later when her looks cool off.
