The simpletons he gets to fill his audience are no doubt prompted to shout "That's a man, Maury!"... it's totally demeaning and plays into ignorance about transsexuals.

My impression is that he has no respect for his guests, and all he cares about is ratings among the lazy slugs who watch daytime TV. If it is salacious and lowbrow enough, it's good enough for Mr. Connie Chung.
